Yup. Sue them for theft (they took a vehicle away for 7 days without permission, and now, quite apparently, any lawful reason, thereby constituing theft).
But who? The OPP, the province? both?
Why not those who put the law in place (Queen's Park)? Start a facebook page/group, that can help with getting a class action rolling. We will help as ...

Re: License Suspended due to Seizure Caused By Drug Use
I heard somewhere that THC stays in your bloodstream for up to 90 days after exposure. I think it was during last Winter Olympics when one? I of Canadian athletes tested positive for marijuana. But your suspension was placed on you because of cocaine use, so I would assume that the test will be conducted to look for that. They might not even test ...

Re: License Suspended due to Seizure Caused By Drug Use
I want to find out how I can get my license back, and how long it will take. I have not tried to get my license back before now because I was arrested in a separate incident involving possession of marijuana and put on a condition where I was not allowed to drive.
I would say first you need to find out how long you have until that condition ...

Re: Street racing?
Lastly ill admit this and i am sure many are guilty of this bad habbit. I know many friends and family that do the same and sure many others will admit. Distracted drivers are the biggest problem, and when i drive fast i cant be distracted. When i am driving at 50/60 km on the street in the city ill admit i will text, call people, eat a snack, at ...

Re: Fail to obey signs when passing an OPP cruiser
What I'd like to know is if his use of the emergency lights and his driving behaviour gives me grounds to file a complaint with the OPP? I think what this guy did was disgusting and an abuse of his position.
Sound like the cop should be charged with 132 (unnecessary slow driving) and "interfering with flow of traffic". Must be a new cop on a ...

Re: Fail to obey signs when passing an OPP cruiser
No point resurrecting an old thread that is not general discussion of current issues. Much of what has been said in the topic you have originally posted this applies, but i'd rather split the thread while it's early. Every ticket is different.
As to your ticket, wait a bit, and request a disclosure. I guess you have already filed that you will ...

Re: Cruise control and speeding?
He must have clocked the Acura TL going 105 (as he did overtake you). The problem is that LEO's word is worth more than yours in court of law, so if he doesn't even mention the other driver in his report, you have almost no chance of proving him wrong.

Re: Improper left turn
hwybear: I stand unchallenged so far. The LEO did say no points associated (straight lie), not "contact MTO about this offense", which is what should have been done. Apparently he had a major brain fart there. He did allow the other driver to finish the report of some sort at home (TCR? Victim statement? whatever it is you make people fill out when ...

Re: Street racing?
Lastly why do almost all sections of the 401 have this 100 km/h speed limit. Some sections should be lower and some higher due to traffic, weather conditions, the engineering and quality / design of the road, and the volume it experiences.

You do not have to take it to court. You can mail it, with option 3 (I intend to challenge this ticket or something to that effect) box checked off. The courthouse location is at the back of your ticket.
