Re: need help -unsafe lane change?

Lots of contradictory comments in that......if it was so safe with caution used.....how can you slam into her? ( need a puzzled emoticon)

Hard to see past the back of a pickup... Ever drive into Hamilton from Toronto and onto York Rd. Blvd? You cannot expect anything from what you see on ramp - you can't see what's going on it at all. Bear, I ...

Re: how to request a trial date?

if my ticket is issued in Hamilton and I want to request a trial date, can I go to the Provincial court office in my home town of Milton to request a trial date? i never go to Hamilton and would prefer not to just to appear and request a trial date...and request dislcosure.

Mail your request for everything, along with your ticket, with Option 3 ...

Re: need help -unsafe lane change?

Having lived in Hamilton for a while, I deduced you would use 403 to enter the town, and (at least I would) avoid Main St. like bubonic plague , thus taking York Blvd exit  . That off-ramp is plagued (not to use the pun here) with bad visibility, poor design - you cannot judge whether there are any cars on the ramp as you are ...

Re: Did anyone go to Port Dover for Fri. 13?

I've been to Port Dover a number of times but never for Fri. 13-th.
Makes sense about the numbers, it was a cold one lol.

Did anyone go to Port Dover for Fri. 13?

Most of us live within a reasonably driveable distance from Port Dover. Did anyone go to their Friday 13-th celebrations last Friday? I wonder how many bikers braved the weather to attend...

While speaking of dates, Happy Valentine's day to everyone!

Re: need help -unsafe lane change?

If you were charged with either 142(1), than you were charged with "Fail to signal" offense. It does carry 2 pts, as you can check on "Demerit Points" link on the bottom of this page.

(The driver or operator of a vehicle upon a highway before turning to the left or right at any intersection or into a private road or driveway or from one lane for ...

Re: busted brake line get me out of this?

At $500 for "Follow too Closely" I'd shop around for rates, especially the one with these circumstances... You've a great chance of winning the ticket, but I suggest you go and see the prosecutor before the trial date, then you can see what s/he is willing to give you. Chances are that s/he will want to negotiate and give you the "Improper brakes ...

Re: O.P.P criuser impounded under 172

Meh, it's gonna be us taxpayers most likely, but the police station might exercise early release under 172.(9), but that would make a cop a thief of public property:lol:.

Cop will likely be charged with Racing and pay his own fine, but not impound I don't think.

Re: Fail to obey signs when passing an OPP cruiser

Very clever Ref. LOL. Your "period" button is broken, too! LOL

Just thought of something:
- If a couple buddies and myself drive side-by-side down the 401, at the speed limit, mile after mile, blocking all 3 lanes, would we not essentially be duplicating this officers actions?
- Would it be legal for us to do that?

To answer your questions:
No ...

Wow, I thought I'd never see a cruiser impounded with a Racing charge. Apparently there are limits to "lawful execution of duties", not just whenever cop's on a shift.

Re: speeding Ticket recieved at home

Re: what should I do?
Fight the ticket!
The officer has up to 7 days to lay charges, so, while uncommon, nothing is out of the ordinary.
Speeding 30-49 land you 4 demerit points, and some insurance companies view it as a "major" offense, so your insurance will be impacted rather strongly (to the tune of about $400 per year).
Mail in your ticket ...
