I would add that all the differences in typed and handwritten notes should be highlighted and brought up in court when questioning the LEO. This should damage his credibility.

Do NOT, under any circumstances, let the prosecutor know about it! This is your Ace of Trumps, and as soon as he finds out, he will have the cop write you another ticket, and the new ticket will be written to the letter.

The cop has up to 6 months to write you another ticket. Therefore you must wait out until 6 months are over to do anything ...

Fantino has been an excellent leader for us.

are you sure about that?

Absolutely!!! The best that I have seen at the helm in my career.

All you see is newpaper writings and most times is biased reporting at that. The public does not see the day to day operations and how things have changed for the better for the employees.

The ticket is invalid. Do no pay or reply to the ticket. When you are contacted, then you show them the ticket with missing signature.

A lot of people were suggested that approach. If they do not come back with report it might mean that they fought the ticket succesfully, else we'd hear about it.

So are these people going to get reimbursed?

According to the same law experts, answer: No. Mistake or error by the gov't in passing such a law would not justify massive reimbursement. I had believed otherwise in the past, but apparently that is not the case.

It is better, more efficient, feels much better, and costs less taxpayers' money to ...

And who wants to ask for more roundabouts?

I do. They save hours. Except 90% of folks will have to have a 2 hour class to drill the roundabout etiquette into their brains.

People who accelerate when others are passing them do technically fall under 172. I haven't heard of any such charges, though. I imagine such an incident would make the ...

yes, interesting to see. Guess even more reason to have red light cameras at every light. And another reason not to "jump" on a green, as someone is probably coming thru a red.

Only part is that the guy admitted to "accelerating" on a yellow.....which is contrary to slow down and proceed with caution.

Do NOT accept anything the prosecutor tries to give you and try to motion to have the case dismissed on the grounds of improper disclosure. If the cop did not see you at the time and just ASSUMED that you were breaking the law, he needs to have the video to prove it. If he couldn't provide the video, then there is no proof.

Re: charged with speeding 15 kl over in process of passing

Ya I hear you tdrive2. Just looking at the OREG455/07 makes you ask a lot of question, one for each the definitions.

Why is "Marked departure from the normal flow of traffic" means 50 over the speed limit? Someone doing 151 when everyone else is doing 149 is by no means a "marked departure"? Tapp proved that in court apparently.

Why is that when ...

Guelph's 12 sites for car crashes

Local Guelph Tribune newspaper had the city's "dirty dozen of crash locations". All data is based on the number of crashes there were in 2008. I'll post my own notes too.

Stevenson St. N. @ Speedvale Ave. E. (Don't know that area, but Stevenson is a long, though non-major street)
16 crashes

One of the good things about the OHTA is that the prosecutor can charge you with an unrelated offence upon plea bargain. You might get charged with a by-law infraction instead upon plea, which would have no demerit points associated with it. However, request disclosure if you haven't done so already, see what they have.

Do not admit being too ...

Well, you can move the court date a couple times, may be more, depending on circumstances and the way you word your circumstances to the courts, but you will eventually have to face the music (and the trial, which can be conducted in your absense, and yes, you can be found guilty in absentis).
