Obviously the other driver will have to be there. Only thing I can think of is the other driver brings in a collision estimate/bill over $1000, which should be in disclosure?

You do not know when and if radar is on. Officers could be doing notes, using an onboard computer, waiting for a vehicle from a driving complaint etc..

I would recommend installing a "main" kill switch for the lights in the trunk too. That way the lights are guaranteed to remain off until at the display.
