I dont think it applies to collector lanes either...just by the words "far left lane" as the far left would mean in the express and be Lane # 1...the collector left lane might be Lane # 4 in that same direction of travel (lanes numbered left to right), therefore still 3 more lanes to the left of that collector

Re: Hit by other vehicle while turning permitted left turn
Also received copy of police report which shows that my wife was making U turn, which is not true. Police report is not true because my wife told the officers that she was turning left. She was not charged or ticketed.
What can we do now? Should we go to police and complain against the officers who came after the accident?

Re: 122 in a 90, received some disclosure need help decipher
I think it will be worth my while to go back and measure the distance and see exactly where that would put me in relation to where the cruiser was situated and what the cruiser's view would be at that distance. Maybe snap a few pictures of someone standing at the 534 meter mark. The distance and the fact that the laser was held in hand and not on ...

Why don't you ask him/her to give you 2 and/or 3 quotes from licenced body shops? This would come with company logo on it...then decide with him/her which one is to be used and pay the body shop direct. That sounds reasonable to me.phoenix wrote: Now he comes back to me and he wants to get the bumper repainted and tells me it will cost 733$!!

According to the law the GPS has to be mounted on the dashboard. But I'm wondering Can I use my Tablets GPS unit without mounting it? It is a 10" screen and would just lay on the passenger seat.

I would be interested to know if drinking coffee is allowed or not while driving.
The act itself isn't illegal per se, but the potential for a careless driving charge does exist. It would need to be shown that holding/drinking your coffee resulted in you driving without due care and attention.

Re: Proper procedure for license reinstatement
If your licence was suspended for BAC above zero for young or graduated licence holders then its only a 24 hour suspension. You licence will be taken to the police station where the officer stopped you works out of and 24 hours later you pick it up. There is no record with the MTO.
If your licence was suspended for a WARN range then the period of ...

Re: Cellphone ticket while looking for address
Maybe argue and suggest you were using it as a GPS. Get a copy of your phone bill and make sure theres no calls at that time either. No calls/texts and then I would personally try to argue I was using it as a GPS only at that time. .
GPS is included in the legislation too...they are not to be touched while driving either....so would stay away ...

i think that officer was referring to the large trucks mentioned in that other post, not the normal front line pursuit rated vehicles (vic/impala/charger/tahoe)viper1 wrote:An OPP on this site said their cars stop/or quit (limit at 160.) (I know better)

@hwybear: any idea what the laser gun model is likely to be? I have several manuals already, but want to be sure that I have the correct one(s).
There are a few different ones in the field and some might even others that I am unaware of
- Marksman LTI 20-20
- Ultralyte
- Laser Atlanta Speed Laser

If you look at the photo (you've probably manned that very point yourself)
big ole negative, never worked that area
when a car or group crests that first hill you would have about 1 second or less to determine that a car is speeding, raise up the gun and pull the trigger. At that distance, (by my calculations) the beam has a diameter of ~12.5 ...
