Re: Our new Acts and By-Laws section...

Don't think it is missing...rather not put in. Think this forum is for basic Provincial Offences involving vehicles where a person can possibly defend themself.

Criminal Offences should be using lawyers advice.

95% of the time radar is operated thru glass. The other 5% without glass would be on a motorcycle or nice day with a handheld.

Re: How to turn

Turns have to be made into the closest lane.

ie: turning right (onto a road) the vehicle has to enter the closest lane.

ie: single turn lane for left turn. Road that vehicles turning left onto has 2 lanes (in the direction of the turn). The vehicles turning left must turn into the lane closest to them (nearest to the centre of the road)

...ground unit stops target and identifies the driver.

As long as the vehicle is in constant motion from time of pilot visual contact to point of ground traffic stop. What if the vehicle had stopped in between. Potential for change of driver?

Yeah, and what IF they stopped under the overpass, just prior to the ground units sitting on the "get ...

Re: Legality of Aircraft for Speeding

I was actually ticket last year for this very offense by an aircraft patrol. A couple things confused me about it one being that it was the 401 and I was keeping pace with the rest of the cars in my lane at approximately 120km/h. There were definetly guys to the left passing at higher speeds (I was in the middle lane). Why would they specifically ...

Re: Ticket not Signed?

Carbon-copy of the signature should be good enough.

Yes it is.
We have had discussions at court, in the office, on here and a signature is all that is required, whether carbon or orginal signature.

Two reasonings
- sign top of PON....all copies are then identical (but not original signature to person receiving notice)
- sign notice and give to ...

In these situations, manpower is critical to maintaning a blocked hwy, which of course usually is 1 car to block 2 lanes. Then you need another on the on-ramp....as sure as flies like poop, someone will go off do a uturn and come back on. Obviously not enough manpower on this date.

Hwys are closed for collisions and road conditions. Most often ...

Re: What and How a HTA vioation affects CVOR

Just add in a few things too..

CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration) = authorized by Ontario government to operate a CMV in Ontario.

Every CMV (commercial motor vehicle) over 4500kgs requires a CVOR.

A CVOR is for the company, not just one CMV. Therefore a company with 37 CMV can photo copy the original CVOR and place in all their CMV ...
