Since I can't read the officer notes, should I request typed version and if not received before trial date can I request an adjournment based on that or would the JP just ask the police officer to clarify the notes for me right there ?
They don't have to be typed, they just have to be clear. So yes, if it's hard to read you can ask for ...

School. When you take regular minor offenses and add a school, bus, children, etc... it jumps to a major offense.
e.g.
- Disobey traffic sign (minor), disobey school crossing stop sign (major)
- Improper passing (minor), improper passing of school bus, improper passing in school zone (major)

Re: Excessive Speeding in Quebec
If that's the case, that information certainly should have followed you to Ontario.
I've seen some users on here who have reported about reciprocal agreement convictions and have seen the change on their abstract somewhat immediately (maybe a couple days or weeks).
I doubt you'll see anything after 2 years. I guess you should consider yourself ...

What was the exact charge you got from Quebec? What section under the Quebec Highway Safety Code? Sounds like it might be 328 or 329?

Re: g2 License suspension
Someone can correct me if i'm wrong (i'm pretty confident though), but it doesn't matter whether or not you get your full G license before the conviction. They still apply the penalties according to the date of your charge and license class during that time. The only scenario where this changes is on your 3rd strike under Novice Escalating ...

Re: Failing to stop for school bus - AS OWNER
The ticket has no impact on your insurance. It doesn't go on your abstract, so consider it an expensive parking ticket.
You don't have to call your insurance company and you don't need to do any online quotes. Ignore all that.
Once you plead guilty, you're convicted, whatever... you'll never see this ticket again anywhere (unless you don't pay ...

It still falls into the serious bracket. Surcharge would be the the same for any offense in the bracket (100% surcharge pretty much guaranteed).screeech wrote:I would reccomend taking the speeding charge, it shouldn't hurt as much when it comes to insurance...

Re: 30 over last year, trial coming up, got another ticket r
What I meant was if you go through with your trial in a couple weeks, it's not going make a difference. If you go in asking for a reduced charge, they'll probably ask you about prior convictions. In that case, it might matter. They aren't going to hand out reduced charges to habitual offenders, but even then one other minor speeding conviction isn ...

Re: 112km in an 80km first offense seeking advice
You'll have to read the options on your ticket. If you live a certain distance away from the courthouse, they may allow for a telephone meeting with the prosecutor. There may be a box to check mark on your ticket that discusses this exact option (eg. "□ I live more than 75 km from the courthouse listed below and I would like to meet the prosecutor ...

Just go to an early resolution meeting and they'll likely offer to drop it to 29km.
Yes, with a G2 you'll have your license suspended for 30 days as the charge currently stands.
Your insurance isn't going to get any worse or any better from 32 to 29. The surcharge remains the same. You'll pay the same thing either way. At this point you're just ...

No fire access blocked, no through way, not blocking anyone backing out of their space, absolutely no reason to give one a ticket
They don't want you parking there or they would have made it a spot. That's the only reason they need. Why you think it would make for a good spot is, at the end of the day, irrelevant.
