Absolutely not.

It would be a lot better than your previous suggestion.

Re: Speeding ticket/insurance help pls

So question is how much will my insurance policy go up with this ticket or will it?

Nobody can answer this for you. How an insurance company deals with their customers is completely up to them. If you would like to get an idea, you can call anonymously and ask away.

Should I goto court and try to get the jp to lessen the ticket on the basis of ...

Re: Need Direction about getting license back

Also since you had a G2 that has now expired you may have to start over with a G1 and work your way back up.

This is another good point. I believe if you try to renew an expired G2, you have a 3 year period where you have to start from G1, but can skip the mandatory wait periods. If it's been longer, you'll have to start the whole thing over ...

Re: Speeding ticket

How would I know if the ticket gets processed or not? I dont mind the ticket. Im not gonna lie, I was going 50 in a 40 zone but dont tell me im going 74 and when all I want to do is verify the radar, he refused to show me it. I still said okay lets proceed no point of arguing.

The officer was correct. They have no obligation to show you any ...

Re: What happens If witness reports a person for not stoppin

K thanks just have a couple more questions. How long does the officer have to go to the owners door and give them a ticket? And how does the cop identify them what if they don't match the description that the witness gave? Also what if there's more than one person who drives that car, they prob just give the ticket to the owner right? And lastly ...

Or maybe it was because you were speeding.

Re: Delayed trial

I'd check your abstract to see if there's been any convictions relating to these offenses.

Delays aren't usually found in waiting for notice of trial letters. It's quite possible there's been a mistake somewhere in the process.

Re: Trail of May 6th, ADVICE PLEASE!

You're really going to be pushing your luck by asking for disclosure 2 weeks out when you've had nearly 5 months to do so. Disclosure usually takes 1-2 months normally if you plan on getting it mailed back to you.

If you plan on doing so, I'd suggest you do it immediately. They will probably be able to supply it to you on your court date. You are ...

Re: Desperate! PLEASE help!! Trial in 17 days!

Thank you so much bend. Sorry, do you mean there's a chance that the Justice will make me go ahead with the trial even if I've only been given disclosure a few minutes earlier?? That seems completely unfair. Doesn't that violate my right to a fair trial? What would be a good reason to not consider my request?

What I meant was be prepared for an ...

Re: Desperate! PLEASE help!! Trial in 17 days!

Thank you avangel. I faxed my disclosure request today. So I can ask for an adjournment at the actual trial? I don't need to do this in advance?

Realistically, you're probably not going to get your disclosure before the trial. There's just not enough days for them to process the request or for you to prepare. Neither side is at fault considering ...

Re: cellphone ticket-can a decent reason do anyting?

If you're asking whether your story is good enough to somehow make this ticket disappear, the answer is no.

You can always request an early resolution meeting and see if your charge can somehow be reduced. Your account of events isn't going to get you very far, so it's your best option really.

Re: Paralegal telling me to fight careless charge, should I?

EDIT: I haven't asked my paralegal this directly, but can I wait until the 'day of' to decide one we (the paralegal and I) know who will be the prosector/justice? I will be making the trip to the trial location regardless... but do the officer/other person involved in the accident need to know ahead of time whether I'll be going to trial that day ...

Re: Traffic Speeding Ticket

Actually, radaring anyone before the 70km/h sign is posted isn't likely since it's a bridge, not even in eye leveled view where he was waiting, also higher up that you would be go over. Plus it's in a angle for the Officer to successfully even get you.

If you decide to request a trial, i'd suggest you also file for disclosure and read the ...

Re: Paralegal telling me to fight careless charge, should I?

Just so you are aware, you are clearly at fault here. Whether or not the vehicle in front of you abruptly slammed on the brakes doesn't make you any less at fault.

That being said, your rep is confident that while you're at fault you were not careless in your actions. Whether or not he will be successful, who knows.

Careless driving is not like ...
