Just want to make sure, but it was the vehicle that was behind you on a single lane highway?
If the vehicle behind you couldn't brake in time to avoid an accident with you in front, i'm not sure where your charge comes from. If anything, he should be charged.

Re: 407 mailing speeding tickets out
No, it's not true.Sheila wrote:Hi I have been told that the 407 ETR is using their time stamp of when you enter the 407 and when you excite the 407 to see if you have been speeding and have been or will be mailing speeding tickets out from that information. Does anyone know if this was true or even legal?
Thanks

Your demerit points will show up on your abstract the day you are convicted, not charged. If you're a full G license and you're not getting tickets regularly, they are not too much of a big deal either way.
Thanks a lot, any advice on this?

Re: Got ticket for going 129 km/h in QEW, any chance?
He charged me with 129 km/h but as he has written in his notes I was going 131 km/h.
He reduced it to 129 so the charge comes with 3 demerit points instead of 4. If you're a novice driver without a full G license, the difference would save you a suspension. If that's going to be an issue, it's something to highly consider. Should you go all the ...

Re: 2 questions based on disclosure info (Disobey stop sign)
Did the officer need to tell me that there was video evidence?
No, but it IF it exists it will be provided upon request.
The officer never informed me that there was video evidence. And if I was being recorded after I was stopped, I was never informed of that either. Does the officer need to tell me that I am being recorded?

I was polite and cooperative with the officer, however he did not listen to a word I had to say.
The side of the road isn't a courtroom. Don't take it personal. Probably best you didn't say too much anyways.
I did not run a red light, and I did not make an improper right turn. I believe intersection has a red-light camera, which I never ...

I highly doubt they are going reduce your tickets to something like a parking ticket.
Seeing how it sounds like your wife received two tickets from the same maneuver, it would probably be more likely they'll drop one and ask her to plead guilty to the other.

Re: How should I appeal?
Does anybody know how the appeal process works specifically? Do I fill out a bunch of forms to be granted access to a judge, at which point I tell my appeal story...or do I fill in my story on paper, they read it and either grant or dismiss my appeal?
They give you a simple form to fill out. Once you fill it out, you will have to put down a ...

Re: Is this cat back exhaust legal in ontario ?
Probably not.
The resonator helps get rid of high tin can raspy noise you hear from some cars. The muffler will take care of the rest.
Make sure you're not tempted to start touching your cat converters. It's illegal to run test pipes/long tube header from an emissions standpoint. The sound from the exhaust will also crank up enough to get you ...

Re: Is this cat back exhaust legal in ontario ?
From a technical standpoint, yes it would be legal. As long as you're bolting them up straight to a set of catalytic converters and not replacing them with a set of test pipes while you're at it.

What's been posted is a exactly what you should expect.
It can be adjourned and you can receive disclosure, or you will be told you've had opportunity and your trial date is not the time or place to be requesting disclosure at the last second.
Either that or they give you disclosure right then and there. It won't be enough time for you study and ...

2nd ticket - He had asked for my license, ownership, and insurance. He came back and told me how my "ownership documents" did not have a valid permit sticker on it BUT my license plate has the valid sticker. I was in shock as I never have heard that you also have to have a sticker on your "ownership documents".
When you get new plate stickers ...

1. I have a newer model car that comes with a bluetooth.
Bluetooth is only as good as someone who has taken the time to pair the devices. It doesn't prove your innocence, but I guess it's a point that could be made.
