Could it read 7 (5) (a)? That's for failure to surrender permit. 7 (5) (b) would look more like (5) (5), but that is for a trailer permit.

Re: Triform using cheaper cows?

Bring back the two-dollar bill, and have the only coin be the quarter (and perhaps the loonie, being the symbol of our existence and such).

I've converted a lot of coins over to Canadian Tire money.

Re: crossing an intersection side by side

I don't remember there being anything saying that two vehicles cannot occupy the same marked lane (although it seems like it should be a law!). Section 154 just requires the vehicle to be driven entirely within a marked lane. Anyone know differently?

In a turn, the outside rider would technically be in violation of the relevant subsection of ...

Re: Site issues with Firefox

Does it just happen on 64-bit systems? I'm using Firefox 3.0.1 on OpenBSD 4.4, with an ancient Pentium III processor (32-bit). Loads just fine for me after blocking formassembly.com. That script used to hang the site loading for about five seconds per page.

Re: Failure to furnish required information Sec 199 (1) accident

You should call your insurance company. When I had my hit-and-run, reporting to the collision centre should have automatically notified the insurance company - however, the agent I spoke to two days later had no record of it. Reporting an accident is separate from making a claim on the accident - if at fault, your rates will be affected less with ...

Triform using cheaper cows?

When did their leather notebook covers get so flimsy? My old one is so much more..."supple" than the new ones I just got. Hmph I feel cheated. :x

You should read the applicants/recruits threads on the Blueline forums. Over here, only about 5% of the Police Foundations graduates get onto any service right away, so have a backup job or even a career prepared to support yourself while you apply.

Re: Cop suspended with Pay, HTA 172

Works for me. 23 pages, text (not scanned).

Officer Doolan testified that there was nothing unsafe or remarkable about Ms. Raham's lane change, and that the only evidence pertaining to the charge was the speed as indicated on the speed measuring device.
I think "unsafe or remarkable" should be a requirement on top of 50-over for 172. 50+ during ...

What if Ms. Raham here pulls a Myers, gets tired of all the brouhaha, and quietly takes a deal? Is the previous court ruling still binding on lower courts (JPs), or is it treated as if the previous ruling(s) never happened?

Re: Defective Braking System: $110

May have to go to case law on this. All that's mentioned in the HTA is
No person shall park or stand a vehicle on a highway unless he or she has taken the action that may be reasonably necessary in the circumstances to prevent the vehicle from moving or being set in motion. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 170 (9).
