Re: Didn't Learn the 1st Time

I'd rather not surrender my biometric information to anyone, which includes the government and private corporations. That's one of the reasons I never picked up a Nexus card.

Re: help ! How to reschedule my trial date

Yes. This time just request the missing item and mention the fact in your next disclosure request that the disclosure package that you received is missing the item that you already requested.

Re: help ! How to reschedule my trial date

You should certainly request a typed version in plain English. Police shorthand isn't the easiest "language" to understand. TC has a good disclosure request form on his site so you may want to use it when requesting the additional disclosure material.

Re: No Signature

I'd consider requesting the disclosure upon receiving the trial notice. That way the constable won't get an opportunity to review the offence notice, fix it and issue a new one immediately.

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

Not to mention the Ontario residents who would like to freely assemble and express their political views and even some of his own employees that pissed him off and suffered the consequences of his abuse of power because of it.

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

People are less likely to spend time in the right lane for 2 reasons...
1) Some of tie actual merge lanes are extremely short and you really have to push your vehicle to get up to speed
2) Even where you don't, too many Ontario drivers aren't aware of the far right pedal and seem to let their engine accelerate on its own, thus merging at 60km/h.

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

Toronto is just so dense that it only takes a couple of idiots to create a backup. That's where the law of averages kicks in and causes a huge mess all over the place, all day, every day.

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

Good point. So another driver has to make a couple of lane-changes to get around a couple of these inconsiderate f-words and all of a sudden he's a "street racer." What a way to treat the result instead of treating the cause.

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

And even then, you'd have smartasses who'd "pass" doing 1km/h more than the guy to the right. Driving south of the border, I'd be about to pass 2 trucks when one would swing by in front of me and start passing the other one at a snail's pace. Usually those a-holes had those stickers saying "Without trucks America stops."

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

Move Over law... Had it been enforced half as much as the stuff from 203, there wouldn't have been a (highly dubious) need for 203 in the first place.

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

As for Fantino.. Ever since the very idea of Bill 203 came out, he started chasing cameras to find every opportunity to advance his future political career by being out there in the media. That's in addition to having been involved in scandals both in Toronto and at the head of the OPP. He's also been going after the underlings who dared to speak ...

Re: Don't run

To me, running is not worth the risk. Did it once, at the age of 12 (got away clean) and never again. With the benefit of adulthood, the most important issue about running is putting others at risk. If I hurt some innocent person in the process, I could never live with myself.

Re: Don't run

Running from a Busa would require an R1 and some creativity. Of course, that would only be in the twisties. On a straight highway or even in moderate twisties, a Busa would be dang-near impossible to get away from if the constable knows what he's doing on 2 wheels.
While a bike can outrun a plane (don't ask me how I found that out ) or a ...

Re: Nutcase tries to run down an officer to avoid traffic ticket

At first I was going to take the story with a grain of salt as too many cops risk their lives by stepping out in front of fast-moving vehicles with a very small safety margin. However, the fact that the kid ran and tried to hide the truck is a strong indicator of the fact that this wasn't the case... Trying to end a human life over a 27 over ticket ...

Re: Don't run

You'd have to do some NASTY stuff to a Busa to be able to get away from that on the open road
