Under Ontario fault determination rules, regulation 668 section 19(b) any making a uturn is deemed 100% at fault in a collision.
Now to deal with the HTA. Depending on the intersection, there may be a circumstance where the green car has an advanced left turn and the orange vehicle may have a green arrow to the right.

You might want to consider ordering a copy of your Ontario driving record
https://www.ontario.ca/page/order-drive ... #section-7
If I read correctly, anyone can get someone's driving record. Get a friend to do it for you.

This has been dealt with on these forums and elsewhere on the Internet. It is not illegal to turn right in a red light if there's an advanced green on the same side or the opposite direction. As long as you comply with the condition of turning on that red light and there's no sign prohibiting it.

That wouldn't change anything because that licence is no longer valid in the MTO system. There's actually another # on an Ontario licence to tell which version is the valid one. Probably a good thing you didn't have both with you. It's anther $110 fine for having more than one licence in your possession.

"Martin" may be an aurocorrect issue. It may actually be Master operator and instructor.
Regardless, instructor/operators requalify every five years.
Of note, whether the officer says "passed" wouldn't be something to hang your hat on. Who's going to use a radar that failed? It wouldn't operate anyway if it failed.

And as for disclosure. Just because you ask for it, doesn't mean that you will get it from the prosecutor.
If you believe that the item exists and the prosecutor will not provide it, you have to convince the JP that it's needed.

So the bottom line is, the OPP did not ask them to remove the tuning fork requirement, the people who designed and built the radar indicated that they weren't necessary for testing and removed that requirement themselves?

Don't go to MTO or Service Ontario as suggested. Go to your local Provincial Offences court with identification and ask them. They will have the total from around the Province and then you can look to see if you can start up a payment plan or some sort.

I believe that the decepision regarding a validation no longer being necessary on the back of a permit was made by a Justice of the Peace. That decision is not binding on any other court.

That's certainly not probation. It's just an escalating sanction.
They will show up on the records that police see. Otherwise they wouldnt know whether to issue the three day, seven day or 30 day.
Correct, the adls suspensions for roadside warning will not affect you insurance rates.

Re-opening a ticket is easy and usually granted. At a trial however if you need to fight the ticket, Your in person testimony and a witness won't necessarily trump the officers testimony.
I'd be very reluctant to say that any trial is a slam dunk for defines or the prosecutor. You forget that the human factor involved is the JP.

That's not a ticket. That was the suspension notice. There is no fine associated to a three day suspension for a warning on a roadside for a full G driver over the age of 21.
The $180 is the licence reinstatement fee to get a licence back after a suspension is served.

First of all, what type of licence do you have? A G or a G2 and how old were you at the time?
For a full G licenced driver who is over the age of 21, there is no "ticket" issued. Just the three day suspension for the warning.

There aren't any alternate charges to a handheld device ticket. The best you can expect would be a reduced fine. The points are applied by the MTO after a conviction is registered. They can't be reduced by the courts at all.

Police involvement would simply boil down to if there was any "intent". If not, then police involvement would end and the damaged person would only have civil court to compensate them. It's not a swift process either.

Most of the powers of arrest and the power to enforce certain Acts are listed in act themselves. Criminal powers of arrest for both a Peace officer and citizen are in the Criminal Code. You might want to start there to answer your own questions.

And depending on the area where the speed limit is, it's possible that the speed doesn't even need to be posted at all. ie 50 kilometres per hour on a highway within a local municipality or within a built-up area; and
80 kilometres per hour on a highway, not within a built-up area, that is within a local municipality.

A couple of points: 1- If the officer is satisfied that the driver and the photograph are the same person, there's no need to remove the helmet, but it's polite to do so.
2- The officer can actually order you to remove it because they can inspect it by law.

I won't regurgitate the sections. I figure most of you can navigate the HTA.
