Re: Hello Driver's Liscense Info Needed.

What is the section of the OHTA cited on the ticket?

Also, I think a buddy of mine had the same charge a while back, and he just took it to the pre-trial and the ticket was dropped.

I think it has to do with the fact that you didn't deny to give the officer your license, but you failed to provide it when asked. So I'm not sure of this but, I ...

Re: HTA 144(9) Those Damn signs. What are my chances of winning?

This is one of those tickets that you can just try to plea bargain.

You can try to get this lowered to something with less points.

I dont think you will be able to completely win this ticket, because the officer witnessed the act.

Hey Bookm,

Thanks for addressing this issue. Sorry about the lag. The web hosting companies server is undergoing a database update and that is causing the overall lag.

It should be fixed soon. I don't know exactly when, but hopefully soon.

I find this tedious myself and if it doesn't get resolved soon, then I will have to move the site to a new ...

Red Light Camera's in Toronto - Do they make streets safer?

A US study indicates there has been a 4% increase of accidents at Toronto intersections equipped with red light cameras.

And 6 other cities that are also using red light cameras have reported an increase of accidents up to 20%.

Do you think red light cameras are making our streets safer?

Was this a 4 way intersection? with 4 way stop?

If not the truck doesn't have to yield, because she was at the stop sign, and she would have had to make sure its clear traffic before she turned. Not the other way around.

If it was a 4 way stop, then she would have had the right of way, because the car on the right to you always has the first ...

Re: Snow removal

I'm not really sure what you mean by this.

As for snow removal, I think you would have to check with your local municipal laws. Every city would have their own snow removal laws and guidelines.

However, the OHTA would regulate the snow removal vehicle.

Re: Failing to Stop for a red (Appraoching)

Yea I agree with Bookm.

If you could have stopped on the Amber then by law you are required to, or if you think you can make it through then continue with caution, while making sure it doesn't turn red before you finish crossing.

I think your best bet here is a plea bargain, as the cop probably saw the whole thing and will testify that he saw you ...

Re: New law

That is a misconception as the Autobahn does indeed have speed limits.

The speed limits are per lane. Every lane has its own designated minimum speed limit and max speed limit.

If you want to go 220 km/h then you must stick to the one designated lane. It doesn't mean you can criss cross throughout the lanes.

Also, the Autobahn is mostly a ...

Yes, obviously speeding alone is not a reason for accidents, but it is one of the MAIN contribution to accidents.

Some people speed all the time...

How does this affect the road?

You simply are not going the same speed as other cars, because they are following the speed limit, and by you speeding, you are actually creating more problems with ...

There is NO proof you were following too closely. The police was not at the scene when this happened, therefore how are they going to give actual proof to this incident in court? They cant, because they have none! The ticket is based on the speculation and judgment of the police at the scene, but that is not ...
