Re: Speeding in Algonquin
You can say whatever you want in court. Will it give you reasonable doubt? If you were the JP, would you have reasonable doubt? It really depends on the strength of the officers testimony and what are in his notes. Courts have held that momentarily losing sight of a vehicle is not going to get you out of a conviction.

Re: Stopped for truck inspection, charter challenge 10 (b)?
The tickets you got are more on you than the owner. If you hold an A class then you already know that in addition to insurance, ownership and validation, that you are responsible for making sure that you have the CVOR Certificate, the pre-trip inspection and valid inspections for truck and trailer. If the owner does not provide them you don't drive ...

You can pay them to just file the ticket for you. Saves you a lot of time.

The most up to date copy of the Traffic Act: https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90h08
So you did not get a speeding ticket and the car that pulled you over was an unmarked car. Was it day or night?

I would research on how to force a fatal error. Make sure you keep a copy of your ticket in a safe place.

Re: Charges for not producing license, insurance & registrat
Unless the officer suspects that you are not who you say you are you are free to go with ticket in hand. There are a lot of ways the officer can confirm your identity, he is not going to issue you a ticket unless he is sure who you are.

Re: 167km/h, and perform race in an 80 zone.
Getting affordable insurance at 20 with this on your record will be next to impossible. You might want to renew your policy for 1 year before pleading guilty to anything. Do you have a full G? If you have or plan to get a job where you need a good driving record then it is likely that it will not work out so well. I would suggest sitting down with ...

Re: Fail to stop at red light for right turn, got disclosure
One thing to know to add to what Sherk said is that it is:
Keep quiet about this until the trial actually starts. It is important that your court date be at least six months from the date of the alleged offence. If it is not and the officer or prosecutor is made aware of the error then they can withdraw the charge for the red light and recharge you ...

Yes, they can be ticketed. Almost anything you do that is illegal is also illegal for bus drivers but there are exceptions, I don't believe the situation you described is one of them.

Re: Speeding ticket 15km/h over, what to do now?
I think it's worth looking into and finding out exactly how this system works. In the electronic world there must be electronic logs showing every access to the system itself. If the notes are tied to the ticket and is submitted at the same time via electronic transmission I would make another disclosure request for the exact time the ticket and ...

Re: Speeding ticket 15km/h over, what to do now?
Question for others: Is it possible that the officer wrote the test time in his notes before he actually did? If you can get the officer to admit he wrote that he tested the device at the end of his shift before he actually did it, it could potentially give you reasonable doubt as to if the device was tested at all.

Re: Speeding ticket 15km/h over, what to do now?
If you stretch it out as long as possible it might be a good way to handle this so one ticket drops off your record before the conviction for the 2nd one is registered. I would make sure you fully understand what your insurers policy is as it is unusual if they only hold a conviction against you for a year.
