I was under the presumption that they must provide it if you specifically request it and it exists?Radar Identified wrote: In some cases, they'll disclose video/audio evidence, but that's only if they really want to use it at trial (which, for speeding cases, they usually don't).

If a ticket is issued, it will be sent to the registered owner of the plates in NB and they are expected to pay it.

If you have an unpaid fine in Ontario then your license will be suspended. If you move to another jurisdiction you can drive there no problem but if you ever drive again in Ontario (even with an Alberta license) without paying outstanding Ontario fines you will be charged with driving under suspension and your license will be seized.

The it would be best to ask your insurer directly how much the increase will be or if they will refuse outright to insure you.
As a general rule of thumb you should challenge EVERY ticket (there are a few exceptions).
Even if you sure you are guilty, you may benefit from a trial from following the possibilities:

Re: Will my insurance go up with failure to stop on red ligh
You can safely expect an insurance increase with 2 convictions. Was any part of the car past the white line before the light turned red? It is always in your interest to fight the ticket for a number of reasons and strategies. If the first ticket was a couple years ago you can try to delay the trial so one drops off your record as the other comes ...

Re: Can I get charged by OPP on this?
Glad you are okay. You could be charged for up to 6 months from the offence date so if they are going to charge you they have another 5 months to do so. If the insurance is considering this a not at fault accident due to tire failure you may not be charged at all. Perhaps your insurance company has a copy of the accident report?

It would be in your interest to contest ALL of the charges so that you have a better chance of getting a good plea bargain. If you are a novice your best chance for a decent outcome is to hire a professional to defend you.

Who issued you the ticket the officer who pulled you over of the OPP? Was the officer who pulled you over OPP as well? To beat this you need either a technicality or successfully challenge the officer's evidence in court. Unless I was sleeping though new legislation private property is not a "highway" as defined in the HTA and the seatbelt law would not apply there. But I would imagine the officer testify that he saw the infraction on the road before you turned off.

Right not you don't have any reliable information to make any assumptions with. Tell him to either hire a paralegal or relax and wait for the summons, then ask for a trial and review disclosure. When he knows what the case against him is he can decide to either fight it or take a plea.

There are standard questions that the prosecutor will ask the officer that will allow him to use his notes to refresh his memory in spite of any objections you may have.
What you can do in your cross is attempt to demonstrate that the officer is simply reading his notes to the court and cannot independently recall the events. To be relevant your ...

From an insurance perspective, it is considered a minor offence.

If you plan on fighting it in court you have to argue that you did not do what you are accused of. So if the charge is "Left Turn - Fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision" then you have to be prepared to argue as to why that is not the case. If you tell the same story in court that you tell us here you will be convicted given that ...

11b would be the best strategy at this point but it is a year away and precedents can change so make sure you review the evidence against you in case your 11b is not successful before trial and prepare for the possibility of trial if you have a winning case or pleading guilty. There is some debate that the early resolution process as being designated as "neutral intake period" and that the 11b clock doesn't start until you actually request a trial. The constitution states the trial occur "within a reasonable time" (delays caused by you do not count). What you want to concentrate on is avoiding having the entire 7 months ...
