OK you just deleted your original post and your reply. Not sure why??
A paralegal will cost $400+.
Your situation (the deleted reply) is much worse than first described. It doesn't sound like the interview went well and you may have made some incriminating statements to the cops. In your case I would strongly recommend getting some professional ...

Re: Contact a paralegal
First turn over each ticket and read the instructions on the back to request a trial. Then do it! You only have 15 days. This will buy you time to do your research and prepare.
Second, please site exactly what you were charged with (which sections i.e. HTA 130).
Third most of the information the cops told you is misleading. Paralegals are ...

Re: Careless Driving on exit ramp
It sounds like it was dark, there was a loud screeching noise at the officer got spooked. He then went on a fishing expedition to charge you with something. Did he insist on the breathalyser or did you voluntarily offer? The reason is that it is questionable whether the officer had enough grounds to administer the test. Which further supports the ...

Re: Ontario Traffic Act sec.27(1)(a) and sec.27(1)(d)
It doesn't sound like 27(1) a. is an appropriate charge as the permit was probably left in the car as opposed to fraudulently obtained.

Re: Accident HTA 136(1)(b)
The charge sounds right for what happened IF it's true. You should be more concerned with the insurance increase.
A couple of points (OK several):
1. Was there a stop sign? Go back and check. If there wasn't, then the charge is wrong.
2. If there was a stop sign, is it a real stop sign, created by municipal by-law or is it one of the small ...

pch2004: I didn't see this addressed in this discussion so I'll just state it (if it's not obvious). There are two separate arguments to make.
First (as per paragraph 41 of your case citation) the amendment invalidated the certificate of offence. You will argue the certificate had been improperly amended outside of court in violation of Ont. Reg ...

Re: Electric cars are a GO in Ontario
Seriously, Ontario's nuclear debt stands at $38 billion. But it cost close to $60 billion to build the program. Ontario spends mere millions on alternative green energy source research.

This is hilarious. As long as YOUR letter clearly stated:
City of Toronto Prosecutor's Office
100 Queen St. W... You are golden. It looks like the city forwarded your request to the police officer to complete (i.e. hand over your notes, etc). The cop(s) sent it to their FOI office instead! DOH!

Re: Legality of Aircraft for Speeding
I remember the air surveillance but I thought it was the cost that did it in. The signs seemed to stay much longer than the program. You may wish to go to the library and look at microfiche of older newspapers (there's an index) to see when the program closing was announced.

Re: Improperly Passing a Streetcar
Hang on. They're charging you $5??? Disclosure is free and the Crown is obligated to provide it to you, not charge you. It sounds like they are confusing your request with an FOI request. An FOI request does cost $5 which is the deposit for the initial inquiry. You pay the actual photocopying costs later.

Re: Anyone knows anything about subpoenas?
As I stated earlier, I'm not familiar with this area, but here's what I put together.
There are two types of summons, one for civil procedures and one for provincial offences (there's also criminal but we'll ignore it for now). Don't confuse the different rules. In civil procedures (I'm suing you) you can find info here , see section 3(e). I point ...

Re: passing over solid lines
Theoretically it is not illegal to cross a solid line on its own. But the line becomes solid for safety reasons or it is near an area (crosswalks, intersections, hills, railway crossings) where it is illegal to "pass".
