HTA Section: 191.8 (1)
Did you get a ticket or are you just doing research so you don't get one? There seems to be no exemption for an ATV for doing snow removal...You surely seem to be doing things right: lights, helmet, licencing and such.
I have never heard of a cop giving a ticket for that...I see people all over doing it without being ...

Section 2 of the Off-Road Vehicles act states:
2. (1) This Act does not apply in respect of off-road vehicles being operated on a highway.

I'm not saying you are guilty of anything or am I making comment on how you were driving, that is for the courts to decide...However, if you were driving as the officer says you were, I am suprized you weren't charged with stunting...if he felt he had the grounds to charge you for careless, he could have done you for stunting...

I am surprized the cop didn't charge under the stunting legislation, S. 172 HTA, and suspend the licence for 7 days and impound the car for 7 days...

A wrong section number is not fatal and is amendable...nothing wrong with that...You don't even need to put a section number on a ticket

There shouldn't be points...it was on a bicycle...you don't need a licence to ride a bicycle...See if they will drop it down to Disobey Lane Light S.144(10) $110...you will have a very good chance at that...

You must also pay the fine before they will accept and appeal...If you win at appeal, they mail you the money back...there is a way around paying the fine for exceptional cases...

Even if you were convicted of both charges as laid, you will not get 8 points...Points do not add up for multiple charges arising from one incident...you only get points for the highest point value ticket...so in this case you would only get 4 points, again, if convicted of both as charged...you likely won't be...
