Re: 49 Over on the 400 + some extra goodies...
Of course, my insurance isn't in my car... I had to take it out to report my hit and run (someone hit me and left, I didn't see) and forgot to put it back in my car
I do not have any tickets, accidents , etc.
You just said your vehicle was involved in a collison. So you could possibly have a collision logged against your licence. Just FYI

Re: Is this running an amber light?
just solely based on what you said you were "prior to" what you consider the point of no return and offence of fail to stop for amber has been committed.
Just b/c someone is on your backdoor whether traffic lights, or forcing one to drive faster, i don't buy any of that. You are responsible for your vehicle at all times, just as the other drivers ...

send by courier to the address listed on the back of the offence notice. You will then have a tracking method as sent by courier.

yes, will need some statement from a witness, either in person at roadside or over the telephone for the careless offence, unless of course the officer witnessed this actionRadar Identified wrote:Didn't seem like they had any witnesses pull over to speak to the officer in this case, at least from what I gathered from the original post.

Re: Careless Driving - Statement from Another Witness
A licence plate is not sufficient in this particular case. .
In court I have had convictions just with the plate before and the witness is unable to keep up with the suspect vehicle. Witness arrives several minutes after vehicle is stopped and gives statement. JP understands that the witness being prudent in driving isnt going to drive like an ...

Re: Are police cars equipped with radars to ticket us?
A- One thing that alerted me was that he said two other cops saw me going fast - well, why didn't they stop me?
1) The other cruisers might not have radar, so called ahead to a unit that had radar
2) The other cruisers might not have been in an appropriate/safe location to make a uturn
3) The other cruisers might have been responding to a call ...

Re: I had the audacity to say something to a Police Officer.
most times police try to get behind the collision, but pending situation, area, location, visibility, direction of travel how one positions the cruiser at a collision scene. If coming from opposite direction, it could be better parking where he/she did, at least there would be lights visible in both directions, as opposed to driving past, going to ...

Re: Calibration discrepancy or sloppy writing - viable defen
just to clarify for you it is not a "calibration" section.
It is the speedometer comparison section, which is the correlation between the speedometer and the reading on the "patrol" area of the radar, which confirms the unit is working properly. Now is the unit malfunctioning at 50km/hr or did the officer error and perform the test at 60/hr ...

Re: Bike Lanes Ticket in NYC
interesting why a bicycle would have to stop for a car that is actually coming into their lane, would have thought cars would have to change lane in safety and yield for the bicycleviper1 wrote: In Toronto the bike lane changes to a dotted line for cars to turn/use it.(at intersection)
The bicycle is supposed to stop but they rarely do.

baseball - they can't change the result. Sure speed of pitches have lots of factors also, humidity, the 1st pitch and not warmed up, 110th pitch where running out of steam, 57th pitch where just didnt grip the ball just right or put the exact spin on the ball etc.. 80th pitch with all perfect technique etc
