Finally a bill that makes sense! However, should just match the commercial vehicles governed law coming out and set it at 105km/hr.
Watching speed channel the other day and they were testing road sensors vs cars.....that the sensor would set the maximum speed in the car and each car was set to a minimum following distance. It allowed merges in by ...

Re: Perturbed
Yesterday reminded me of this topic......
I was parked X-ways on a uturn on the 401, full B&W cruiser. Saw a vehicle coming at a high speed, using lidar I hit the vehicle around 750m with a speed of 135. Again around 500m 134, 300m 135 and last reading at 116m away at 136km.

Not to mention a lot of people are probably in a rush and don't even listen to what they are told and just do as they please.ticketcombat wrote:It could be a couple of years before someone in authority sees and verifies your paperwork. It's understandable how it could happen as often as it does.

Re: Fail to Sign Permit/Ownership
. And the signature or lack of one should have been noted when you got the license plate/sticker renewal for the car.
I see lots of things like this come from the MTO licencing offices. A lot of the employees fill out an application and meet the job qualifications, however have absolutely NO CLUE of the Highway Traffic Act and Regulations etc ...

Re: Even the Police are not exempt
There is a lot more to this than hitting horses and speed. For reasons I'm sure you can understand, I can not provide details at this time.Bookm wrote: Guarantee: If some "racing" cop kills MY horses (if I had any), they will NOT slip through the cracks on this matter. Re: 79 in 50 zone
What if this officer clocked me outside the 50 zone? hwybear, who is far more knowledgeable than me on radar operation, may want to contribute too.
Basically, the cop can start tracking you well before the sign as long as he notes that there was no change in your speed or your speed was greater than the posted limit once you passed the sign ...

Disobey "Official" Sign...somewhere around HTA 151 (guessing) is no demerit points.

Re: Perturbed
I would never have thought of having all my windows open. Ferpete's sake, why? Or, for that matter, to have the interior light on at night. And why should I have pulled over just because the car behind me was a police cruiser (proceeding normally, without lights activated).

From a every day person side of things....that is just "beeping" rude / ignorant / inconsiderate etc parking in a handicap spot.
next worse is parking in a fire route!
Would hate for these people to walk an extra 30 ft to the door

But double jeopardy prevents an impaired driving charge being combined with an over 80 for the same incident.
That does not make sense. The charges of impaired driving and driving over 80mgs is laid all the time for the same incident. 2 different offences.
One being incapacitated motor skills and the other is level of alcohol over the legal ...

1. Is this speed method accurate ?
This is moving radar.
If the cruiser is equipped with radar front antenna, motor vehicles speed can be obtained in 2 directions
- Opposite direction approaching
- same direction going away from cruiser

Re: speeding 15 and under
Hwybear, I hear you and do appreciate the breaks given on the spot! In my case the officer was friendly and easy to work which in turn would then make me feel unappreciative have I go to court! Its not the uniform in my rear view that scares me, there is a much bigger monster that I fret, and that is the insurance company's. They once offered a ...
