yes, interesting to see. Guess even more reason to have red light cameras at every light. And another reason not to "jump" on a green, as someone is probably coming thru a red.
Only part is that the guy admitted to "accelerating" on a yellow.....which is contrary to slow down and proceed with caution.

Re: charged with speeding 15 kl over in process of passing
Hwybear you say though there is no excuse to go 50 over, ill agree but there is also no excuse to be purposely trying to slow down others or block traffic from passing.
I think this happens alot more then people who drive 50 over the limit aswell.
Nor should one driving at 105km/hr passing another be forced by some knuckle head to exceed the ...

Radar units are not "built in". Radar is on a mount that is bolted to the dash.
Colour of vehicle does not make a whole lot of difference.

Do you mean a motorcycle? b/c I don't know what the hell you would use a bicycle for in the GTA.
White SUV, I'll guess is donated by a local dealership for the media officer to drive. OPP pays for all maintenance, the vehicle is pictured in many photos at all events and gives the dealership lots of advertising.

MC travelling fast....catch up activate lights....if not stopping.......that would be FIDO.
We are not permitted to "spike" a MC.
MC are very difficult to obtain a reading on with lidar. Not too bad with radar.
I would be hesitant about going fast on the 407 and eluding, plates are recorded at exits.....might be some way to get the plate.....if ...

You have to identify yourself, produce a drivers licence, registration and valid insurance slip.
Staying absolutely silent.....that would be weird, out of place, not common, out of character for anyone......I only had non-speaking drivers 3 times in my career (drivers that actually could not speak and used sign language), to which I then used the ...

You may have been in a legal area to pass, however there are no excemptions to the speed limit to pass another vehicle.hoistman wrote:I was ticketed 15 kl over the speed limit of 90 while legally passing.
You got a break too that was the lucky part, from 25km over (3 points) down to 15 over (0 points).

Negative, do not require the other driver for a conviction.Radar Identified wrote:Also, "following too closely" requires that the police identify an affected driver (the person you allegedly followed too closely) in order to get a conviction. .

One can buy a scanner (new) which is able to get any police frequency for around $600.
