I'm not immune from being sued if I screw up and someone gets injured or killed just because I happen to be at work, and I don't think he would be either. Perhaps Ticketcombat could clarify this.
If you mess up, you won't be around to worry about it.
Might be, flying to the Bahamas instead of Thunder Bay does have it's advantages........ :D ...

Guess your not following this too closely....this practice has also been done by the Windsor Police, Thunder Bay Police.

thanks TC.....I did not look at the VPD manual at all, never use that thing...if i'm stationary it is LIDAR....i did read the Genesis II Directional and is a lot different than that.

Oh wait a minute... TC with this little thing you might've opened the door to stand speeding ticket prosecution here on its head:

Btw for the 2 antennas ill take a wild guess at this. The long one is the antenna for the digital receiver which is mounted in car (all cars have this), the small one is this so called analog repeater antenna, and those circular dome looking things are the internet connection for the computer/laptop in the car?

delay with the cruiser time (8-10 sec) is short.....I often wait for several minutes.....in that time I have my dispatch check the vehicle, owner to ensure who I am dealing with (ie...did they just do an armed robbery?) Then wait for a safe location to stop.

Well bear just so you know i would never really "FLY BY"in that area you patrol.It really depends but your area is bad for "speeding."
Lots of cops, mainly all patrolling 401,
We now are at 8 officers per shift....come September up to 9.
It is nice to have back-up close by. Last week we did the lidar intercept with 1 operator, 5 chase cars ...
