Good for you viper!! Wish more people were like that, leaving more time to get places, driving reasonable.
I also am in that same boat, more so that I now drive about 50min to work. In fact I set cruise at the start and just let it stay the same. Now I actually obtain a constant arrival time both ways. Also I do enter a higher speed zone, but do ...

I would agree with your wife and Stanton.Stanton wrote:I agree with your wife. From what I can see with Street View, Niagara Street starts on the far side of the intersection. You'd be proceeding through the intersection on a red, making it illegal.

The officer also get time and half to attend court so there's a monetary reward for them.
that is very rare to get OT. All our POA court is on our working days.
Only times I can recall having OT for POA is when

I didnt suggest that a police officer got a cut of any fines. I dont believe they get that type of bonus although I expect they will get some credit of sorts for bringing in the revenue.
Correct, absolutely no "cut" of fines and "no" percentage".
Nor do we get any "credit" for writing tickets.

Re: I believe the Radar Gun clocked the car ahead of me
I also believe that the location of the cars and the hill might trigger radar gun errors beyond user errors of the police. I believe the refusal to show me the clocked speed defeats the issue.
- location of cars/hill will not create an error on the radar
- the officer does not have to show the reading of the radar/lidar

Re: Poor Quality Disclosure - what next??
I guess my only defense is that it would be impossible to get an accurate radar measurement if I entered the roadway, crossed three lanes in front of other vehicles (with cruiser way behind someplace) then came to full stop in the left turn lane, and all this in the space of 400m.

Re timings -- the first entry on the page is about the offence which occurred at 9:40am. Below it is the calibration notes for a calibration that was done at 6:30am. Why would you wait over three hours to make calibration notes? Only thing I can think of is that this page was made up especially for the disclosure and does not represent a true copy ...

Re: Caught using a cellphone in Quebec
you could start by looking up the appropriate "act" and "section" (probably on face of ticket) and read same to find out the law in Qc.Vibrantwind wrote:Do you guys think i have a valid case or should i just go ahead and pay the fine and accept the demerits?
If it was Ontario, it would be an offence.

Could the fact that my son was driving last in the group be used to defend that the cop could have catch the speed of the first vehicle accurately? Would the fact that he did not mention in his notes that my son was travelling in a group of cars? Anything, any pointers, or I am just waiting my time?.
