Re: Slid into a car at intersection - Careless Driving.

I was lucky that it was a single-vehicle crash and I could learn from that experience.

Bang on Squishy!!!

Rather than denial, making excuses and blaming anything else other than the person who has their hands on the wheel and foot on the pedal!

You accepted responsibility for your actions, gained experience and learned from it.

I feel "LUV ...

Re: Careless Driving

No, do not use inexperience. Inexperience + bad driving condition = Careless in eyes of JP.

You definitely want to fight this one. Careless for a G2 driver = double insurance (more or less). It is, however, the hardest one for the crown to prove. You might also consider the fact that there were no police at the scene of an accident to see what ...

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

heres the scenario.
Hwy Bear: you pull me over on the suspicion of having a radar detector. before you pull me over i stuff it in my pocket

you walk up and want to search my vehicle.
technically, you cant search me unless you arrest me.
so now we go to court and my defense is---prove that the signal wasn't bouncing around the upper stratosphere ...

test results:

these were checked off in the boxes.
Are there times to go along with these??

Re: Dump Truck/Debris/Chipped Windshield ?'s

scenario 2: im driving a dumptruck loaded with 3/4 gravel. I have my tarp over my load. Unforeseeably, a stone flies out. windshield gone.
Prove it didnt come off the road. Call your insurance. And generally the OPP or the MTO Motor Carrier Enforcement will only take a report.

I'll bite. I was following a gravel truck one day, 2 week old truck ...

Re: Dump Truck/Debris/Chipped Windshield ?'s

I am not happy. I spoke with the logistic's manager and basically, he said he wasn't about to set a precedent and pay for my windshield repair and that is what insurance is for. I told him my deductible wouldn't cover it and he said that there was no load on the truck, therefore what I said happened, basically, didn't. Then I got angry.

I told ...

The offense stays on your record for life though

*gulp*, for LIFE? Is there no way to request a pardon of some sort? Even a murder charge does not stay on for life!

It was a rolling stop on a red light ticket, allegedly ;) I really don't want this flaw on my record. I have no record of any sort and in fact only got my first ever ...

Re: thanks

Thank you everyone for your input and replies. I checked the mail again this morning and nothing has come in so far. I will check with my doctors office to see if the results from my tests have arrived and if so, fax them off right away. No one has yet answered that if the MTO is satisfied with the results, and if my license is susepnded, how long ...

Re: Appeal is taking forever

Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize it could take so long. They simply told me to wait for a phone call, and i'm hoping they don't try to pull a "well we called you and now you're screwed" type scenario. I guess that's what i've been afraid of.

I guess i'm going to have to contact the MTO because the city hasn't taken the conviction ...
