It pretty much as simple as placing your hand on them and declaring a "citizen's arrest". This isn't traffic court, you dont have to be that particular.

Overpass vs roadside = same result. Whether you are 5m higher than the target or 5m to the side of the target, there is no difference.
I would beg to differ. From the side of the road you would be more likely to maintain the target of the front plain of the car. From the overpass, your target might be the front licence plate, but your have now ...

But a sweep/panning error is possible on overpasses, less so when roadside. I wonder if the full alignment check was performed?

You may require some serious legal representation, read Greenspan, to call into question the officers eye sight, and I for one would not do it.

you asking a little late for this. But the older units are plus/minus 3, do a google search.....do you disclosure as to which unit was used to catch you? This is a huge step...........if you have not then ask for a continuance to perform more research....you may or may not get it.......google like hell now.....which juristiction were you in?

Anyone can represent anyone. You need to be court approved before you can charge money for it though........ your friend's, uncle's next-door neighbours grandmother could do it......
