Re: Speeding 106km/hr in a 80km/h zone
You'll have to get disclosure to find out all the details.....the readings on any lidar/radar are skewed (they read lower) when tracking a vehicle at an angle... could you be more specific as to where on 10 you were...I drive from orangeville to oakville everyday...

The OHTA does not apply to private property, such as mall parking lots. However, the criminal code does apply; dangerous driving and so do noise by-laws.

Re: 32 over reduced to 15 over
Constantly on.... I was chatting with an officer friend one day and his radar would get one speed, then another, then another. Now, he couldn't track the vehicles and we were talking hockey...... but he kept getting readings, so the unit was constantly transmitting.hwybear wrote:what is C/O?Reflections wrote:What about C/O??

Re: 32 over reduced to 15 over
No, he had the lidar up to his eye, trigger pulled..... He could have been trialling, testing..whatever. I did not see if he pulled anyone over, we were all doing 110 in a 100 zone. However, if the officer leaves the Speed Measuring Device on, starts doing paperwork, gets a reading, looks up to visually identify the offender he could have the wrong ...

Re: 32 over reduced to 15 over
The officer will testify to what bear said, visually of vehicle speed confirmed with radar/lidar. You won't be able to prove otherwise, unless you have a witness to his modus operandi.
I watched an officer the other day, sitting under an overpass, and he targeted a line, maybe ten cars in the left lane. My speedo said 110.... why would he be ...
