Re: Fail to drive in marked lane...

On the 401 Commercial vehicles over 6.5m are prohibited from driving in the left lane, and soley rely on using the centre lane for passing, this is why you see tractor trailers frequenting the centre lane because a) usually when they are in the right lane and signal to move over at a feeder ramp/on ramp to allow someone to merge-no one lets them ...

How does this kid excersise his rights without getting his face smashed into the hood of a cruiser?

Re: Plate stickers

reason your seeing so many valtags expired is because of the farse the 407 puts people in for "Plate Denial".

And quite whonestly, another reason is that The Government of Ontario is collecting an extra $65 for VUT (vehicle use tax) for those residing in the 416 area code which I personally believe needs to be challenged in court.
As for the 407 ...

do not appear. what you need to do is call the court a few days after your trial and find out if a conviction was entered---DONT wait for them to send you your conviction notice as you have 15 days to file your appeal.
IF (and most likely) you get convicted, go to the court and pay the fine, and tell them you need the neccessary forum to file the ...

Did he activate his red/blue lights?
If he was behind you he must have been real late.
Did he light up everything so that there was no accident?

I don't know how you were unsafe if you both made it through.

I think you will win this one.

I realize the different types of alcohol and odors produced, but sometimes, especially during the busy Christmas RIDE season some of the screening of drivers is done by Aux members, Cadets or other volunteers. I agree an experienced officer can tell who has and has not been drinking from more than just odor.......but not all of them seem to have ...

not to be fecicious, but what does your mail box have to do with your licence expiring?

if you look down the fourth column on your licence card:
4b Iss/DEL 4b EXP/EXP.

it clearly states WHEN your licence expires

you MAY get lucky and one of the two cops dont show. in that case, it probably would get withdrawn.

you must come to a complete stop even making a right on a red. the HTA doesnt state a time frame for how long you must stop. it could be for a millionth of a nanosecond or three seconds, 5 seconds, 5 years whatever.
fight it. why give the province or city any more money. its worth a shot.

Some cops have it in there heads that not consenting to a search is a sign of defiance and therefore is grounds alone for "probable cause"--they see it as trying to hide something- not one excercising there Charter of Rights.
