Driver definition

Can someone shed some light on the following definition of a Driver ?

This is from a law dictionary and is a little confusing. It talks about commercial transportation and being employed as a driver. They seem to have missed out the part where someone who isn't employed as a driver is a driver. Does that mean we are not actually drivers according ...

Re: Plates not entirely visible Sec 13(2)

Basically any opportunity to get revenue is considered acceptable. I would take the case to a trial and be armed with printout of the weather forecast for that day and also the pics. It is always wise to carry a recording device, preferably one that records visually so that you can keep camera running and effectively do a running video of all the ...

I agree we can represent a family member any time, not just in HTA cases.

Re: are we being treated unfairly because we plea not guilty?

Yes it is standard procedure for any business to deal with the payers first. Those who do not want to pay are made to wait... it's a bit like hospitals taking the paying patients first and those on benefits (non payers) to wait in line for whenever a place/bed is available.

Re: Cop suspended with Pay, HTA 172

He allegedly falsified evidence on three traffic stops, two of which resulted in people having their cars seized and the victims had to pay likely thousands of dollars that they'll never see again?! If true, he should at least lose his job if not spend some time in the Don Jail!!

Yes I agree...and actually there is an ACT that stipulates that ...

Re: Disclosure request content

In some cases it may be more that what you need, but if you want to ensure that your truth is sealed and acknowledged a notary is foolproof.

Re: Disclosure request content

You may think using a notary is overkill...BUT you should realise that a notary has equal powers to a judge !!!

I still say get it notarised. Infact use a notary for anything you need to establish as truth including establishing the truth of all actions against you. For example witnesses in a court case as well as requests stating that you have ...

Re: Seized my plates, in my driveway.

Well thats a laugh really ... I was about to rent out a house to a tenant and prior to the agreement I allowed the woman in to paint a room. She proceeded to tell me what she wanted done to my house to suit her needs. I called her back and told her there would be no way she will move in with those demands. She told me she would break into my house ...

Re: Government proposes random breathalyzer tests

The HTA is an ACT. It is NOT LAW. Acts and statutes are ONLY enforcable as law with the CONSENT of the governed.

If you do not consent you cannot be charged.

When you obtain a Drivers Licence you SIGN it. That is your CONSENT to be governed by the ACT. The reason they are called ACTS is because that is precisely what they are . They are ACTS ...

And when you get to court ask if it is a valid cause of action.

It isn`t and therefore has no standing in a court of law according to common law and Charter of Rights

*When I said 5-10 cops, there are SIX streets in our town, its a 1kmx1km space.. I mean, its unreasonable.

I do not think it is unreasonable if someone is threatening the police. Each one of them want to go home to their families at the end of the shift.

Well I think it is unreasonable... the police harass and threaten people all the time and ...

Re: Keeping Quiet (" Complete Silence") : Police T

So my question is: If I invoke my constitutional rights under the charter to not talk to the police, however provide them any documents they request, can they tow my dad's car away because they couldn't verify I had permission to drive it?

Don't ever try that! Like Bear said the cop has many reasons to suspect you.
He can also make up any ...
