Glad to see that, what seem to be police officers here, seem to be reasonable. I have visited other message boards that they all seem to be tools to anyone who posts about a ticket, and tells them to plead guilty to everything. Seems to be a better attitude here.
Thanks all!
What I think makes this site so good from others is from both sides being "civil". Whether it be a civilian or police basher the mods take care of both these extremes very quickly. The idea is for good edcuational discussions from all, (and someone might throw in a donut joke or two
) welcome!

Hi all
Hey there,
I'm an OHTA site newbie and thought I'd drop by and say "hello". I've lurked on this site for a while and learned a lot about OHT Laws.
Just wanted to thank all the intelligent and super civil users and mods here for managing a great site.
Best regards!

Red light camera offence
Hello to all on this site. I have just received an offence notice for a red light camera offence & have been researching my options to paying this exorbidant money grab of $325. I have found the discussion on this site helpful, but am wondering, do I have to plead not guilty in order to have the fine amount reduced by the prosecutor? or can I negotiate a reduced fine by agreeing to option 2? The evidence is indisputable from the photos, but there are extenuating circumstances such as weather conditions (heavy rain). Thanks to all for your input. ![]()

Hi everyone, just joined this great website today - I spent about half an hour posting a message in the general section this morning - but now I can't find it anywhere? I probably violated some forum rule? I read the terms before I signed up....maybe it got moved to a different section? I searched for posts with my user name as the author....hmmmmm.....thanks!

Welcome aboard!
If your message violated any forum rule to the point where it was deleted, you would've been notified by PM. It might've just been a computer glitch. Maybe try again?

Hi!
This is my first time ever getting a ticket and I am completely frustrated and don't know what to do.

The cop was using hand held radar,…

Red Light Camera has extended delay for ticket
Hello Folks,
Well please confirm a couple of things.

2> Can early resolution, bring down the ticket fine, only reason would be excellent driving record, last 10 years. If…
Improper Left Turn: Harbor & Yonge St
Hi, last summer I was pulled over when I made a left turn from he middle lane at Harbor and Yonge Street (heading east on the Gardiner and taking the Yonge exit). I swear they nabbed about 10 people in 5 minutes. Anyways, I decided to challenge in court, my court date is in April and I have just…
How To Fight A No Seatbelt Ticket
The key ruling on fighting a seatbelt ticket is R. v. Kanda, 2008 and an example of it's application is R. v. Gupta, 2008.
In Kanda, the court established that this offence is a strict liability charge. In other words, you can offer a defence of due diligence. In Kanda the defendant explained the…
