I agree that the speed you indicated might be a top end in order to avoid a collision during moderate or light conditions, but feel that at severe snow or ice conditons it is much lower. I may be wrong here, but at high speeds on slippery conditions you have less pounds per square inch making contact with the surface for a longer period of time ...

Just about everyday I am on three different highways. I notice quite a difference in the driving habits of drivers on Hwy. 400, Hwy . 401, and Hwy 404/DVP. The 400 drivers are nuts. In regards to the db meter, when I was a teen Toronto police did have them. We used to go cruising down Yonge St., many of us with our windows open and stereos blaring, stuck in bumper to bumper traffic north of the Eaton Centre. The police used to be standing on the edge of the sidewalk with db meters handing out fines for excessive noise.

Sold my vehicle the other day and removed plates. Want to buy another used one today ( Sunday). MTO closed. Can I put on my old plates and use my ownership and insurance slip till Monday so that I can drive the vehicle?

Called over to the MTO yesterday. Spoke to a really nice guy with a good sense of humor. Told my doc report and lab results stil haven't been reviewed. Takes at least 2-4 weeks.
