Parking Ticket Court

by: viper1 on

I have at least 10 tickets that I asked for trial on.(Toronto Markham road court)

I have received no response on any of them.

It is now over 4 years for that bunch.

Do these just disappear after so long?

Thanks for the help.

Cheers

I've heard rumours that Toronto was quietly dropping basic parking tickets that people contested rather than go to trial over them. You'd think after four years they must have been dropped if you haven't heard anything. I'm pretty sure you're unable to renew your plates/licence if you have any outstanding fines, even at the municipal level.

Of course maybe in a few more years a bunch of collection agency thugs will drop by trying to collect fines plus interest, but you're probably safe for now.

Heard the same thing re: "quietly dropping parking tickets." Again, though, just a rumour...
