Pay the amount owing. Fail to do so could result in a collection agency being asigned to collect the funds, which of course then probably flags your credit rating negatively.
Then use proper channels to get reimbursed: LSUC or civil court
Maybe someone knows (haven't been involved with this area in many years) but ...

Re: Your rights when the five O pull you over
This province is getting scary insane. Where do cops get the idea that they should search innocent citizens' automobiles? The freaking nerve! .
Also the nerve is painting all police with the same brush. As like any profession everywhere there are those that taint the 99.9% that do the job properly. I have never searched without a lawful reason ...

However, the blood alcohol could still be on the rise and a person could go from a warn to a fail, they will then be arrested.OPS Copper wrote: Only chance to fight it is at the roadside. You can demand a second test with a new alcotest.

I took a look at Google streetview and there is indeed a sign on the North West corner of the intersection, but it was like Where's Waldo trying to see it, especially at the time when I was just trying to figure out where I was and not get run over. It's not in the usual sort of place you'd look for signs pertaining to a turn you're about to make ...

Re: Received ticket this evening - woould like opinions
HTA 611 is what is required for vehicle safeties, so I will just throw this out there...so either the officer would lay an "unsafe vehicle" charge, seize the plates, tow the vehicle OR choose to issue a muffler offence.
If it the muffler falls into 611 10(f) it is concerning that a "professional" garage is allowing a vehicle to leave that would ...

Discrepancies - I was not the only car but the first of 3. I had someone tailgating so I moved over to middle lane but then was the only one pulled over.
Lidar is target specific, meaning only one target, one reading at a time, however is pinpoint accurate. The lidar beam is 90cm (3ft) wide at the distance given.

Thanks Biron,
I think my knowledge of the HTA and Regs comes from doing strictly traffic for over a decade. When I find a situation I look it up. I try to play "defense-in-my-head" for every offence to shut down all the avenues of "escape" if you will. Plus I learn from this site of all the questions that officers could possibly be asked, thus I ...

Great ideas....plus we jointly re-write the HTA to make sense
- In addition to a "pay tickets" website, create a "fight tickets" website so paperwork only needs to be filed on-line
Only point I disagree with is the above and it is not the ease of challenging the offence. There has to be some penalty, say $250-500 added to the fine for a "no ...

Thoughts:
He really went on about how he lowered it and how fast I was going. I really didn't think I was going 93, I suppose everyone says that tho. It almost felt like he was stretching the truth a little bit though. I feel they lower it so people with just pay and not argue.

Re: Prosecutor appealing my dismissal
No doubt that some people within the Crown Prosecutor's office (and possibly the Ministry of the Attorney General) had a cow when the JP ruled in mdevo's favour and word got out. Also, I'd be willing to bet a few people who fight traffic tickets for a living may be quite interested in this particular outcome.
