If the trailer with load is over 1,360kgs it is mandatory to have a VIN - don't know how to do that thou
********************
A side note for other readers - it is mandatory to carry and be able to surrender the permit (ownership) for the trailer upon request (even borrowing a neighbours trailer)

Re: Careless Driving Charge w/ 1-Day Suspension "Warning"
There is some provisions for a 24hr suspension. That is for a novice driver who blows between 0-49mgs or a Young Driver who blows 10-49mgs range.

First off, from reading this my thoughts and prayers for your son, you and your family.

Re: fatal errors?
To me the missing of the community safety zone on the offence could be like using discretion and lowering the ticket to a regualr speed as the fine is a lot less??

Re: Is officer required to be present if I intend to plead g
I can only tell you what I've seen in 7 POA courts. If a deal/resolution is made with the prosecutor, it is made in good faith. All pleas are usually done before trials start. If the officer did not have any other matters or trials sometimes the prosecutor allows the officer to go back on the road. When called up to speak and the person all of a ...

Re: BAC above Zero
If the OP had ,had only 2 beers in 2 hours.
The OP would have blown an even lower score after the extra time to station is added.
Viper1
Viper - your out thinking this here
Simply if the OP had 2 beers, the reading would not have been an "A" (therefore no 3 day licence suspension), but rather it would show a reading between 0-49mgs. Which wouldn ...

Re: Amber light and point of no return.
"Running a red light" is only if you ENTER the intersection on a red. Canada's Worst Driver, for example, repeatedly gets this wrong. In their "final challenge," if one of their drivers is in the intersection when the light turns red, they say this is running a red light. That is incorrect.

Re: Frustrated in Nova Scotia, time served, fine paid 7 years
Here is my guess at the situation
**************
The pardon for a criminal record (Canadian) has nothing to do with any provincial offences.
You subsequently appear to be convicted for Impaired and a 1yr driving prohibition via Criminal Code was imposed Canada wide. The Nova Scotia DL was turned in for this one year prohibition.

Re: Amber light and point of no return.
Device timing can be found over at this link http://www.ontariohighwaytrafficact.com/post18159.html which MTO manual states 1.5-2 second is minimum time of amber.
Now a hint on majority of traffic, lights, while approaching and scanning the intersection you can see the pedestrian signals, if signal is a "don't walk" the amber light is close to ...

Unless the wind blew the vehicle into the tree (didn't hear of a tornado)...weather is not a factor.
Speed too fast for road conditions is the issue
