yes, we have to share the road, we also have to remain in our own lane. Bicyles also have the right to the complete lane of traffic, often it is unsafe and not enough room for a car and a bike on the same lane anyway....so they have their spot on a lane in traffic....stay there

After all, how can i be clocked on radar at 144km/h in a car that is governed (speed limited) to 135km/h maximum.

- maybe the speedometer is not accurate
- maybe the tires size based on the speedometer are not as the computer thinks, thus the speed would be different

By the sounds of it the section is 12(1)(d) which there is no set fine, therefore the officer does not have a fine to give at roadside, therefore a summons is issued.

main thing is the notes are provided to the defendant/counsel......now who cares how one writes.....if the notes can not be legitimently read, a typed identical version should be provided upon request.

my book, my notes, certainly do not have to make notes for anyone else but myself.

Every speeding trial (10+yrs), my notes are altered and I explain this to the JP. I have never been refused to use them. There just has to be a logical explanation for the alteration.

Anyway, if you think the officer did whatever to the notes, when the officer goes to qualify notes, this is when you can ask the JP about this situation.

What's missing is

1) Any hand written notes - Is it possible that there where no hand written notes and they where typed directly into the system when the ticket was issued (This is London).

2) A copy of both sides of the officer's copy of the ticket.

yes, changes to notes are permitted.

reminder, notes are not the "end all, be all" of evidence. If one has that good a memory, some notes do not need to be made.
