this info might help
"only if the car remains parked there.
These courtousy tickets are not valid and do not have to be paid. If you leave your car there Toronto Parking Enforcment (refered to as T.A.G.S) will give you a "park private property" ticket. Which can be $20-$30 depending how fast you pay them. After that ticket is issued for 20 ...

Re: What colour is my phone?
I am fighting a handheld device ticket in February. I was stopped driving a commercial vehicle and got a whole raft of tickets, one of them being using a handheld device.
I don't believe the officer actually saw me on the phone, if he did it would have been a very quick glimpse as he passed me on the highway in the left hand lane. I had admitted ...

Re: stopping after lines ?
cool,
txs for that, I thought as much
The Ontario Drivers handbook is available free online and has some good illustrations of where to stop. The front of the car is to be behind to stop line.
Stopping across the line is a $110.00 fine
Depending on how far after the line she stops, it could also lead to a charge of red light- fail to stop. A ...

stopping after lines ?
a question,
wife has an annoying habit of stopping after the white lines/on the pedestrian walkway when she hit's a red traffic light
Can she get a ticket if she does not stop behind the white line?
if so is it the wheels or the car front (i.e. bumper)
I understand sometimes you might hit the white line or an inch or 2 afterwards
but to be right ...

Re: Use of Handheld Device...even though I wasn't using it?!
thats bad,,, and one thing I'm worried about
if the cop says HE SAW YOU and he didn't, then of course that's lying, isnt it pervert. course just.?
your word against him,
thats one reason I want to get a dashcam for back, front and inside
also if true, then one cop as usual spoils it for the rest
good luck

Re: Slowest of multiple targets, ticketed anyway....
Yes on the back of the ticket it will have 3 options, I believe option 3 is early resolution,
basically, you are confirming you are guilty and want to plead a lower fine.
they won't be interested in any real explanations, although they may ask,
speeding is either you where or where not,
(I can't remember the bands) but say, you have
10-20 over ...

Re: Slowest of multiple targets, ticketed anyway....
see my response, dont think either speed is a major but speeds are a minor
and all the insurance are concerned are with a CONVICTION, whether major or minor,
2 minor convictions are just as bad as 2 major's AFAIK
can you not go to early resolution and plead, if your NOT going to fight it, might as well do that, you DONT loose anything
At an Early ...

Re: Slowest of multiple targets, ticketed anyway....
I believe that the below is correct
"Getting a speeding ticket means your insurance rates will go up.
Yes that is true. All minor speeding tickets (up to 50 km/h over the speed limit) will affect your insurance rates.
A major speeding ticket (more than 50 km/h over the speed limit) may result in your insurance being cancelled at your renewal ...

Re: Xcopper sucks !
sometimes it depends on the ticket
for example, I got a speed ticket, decided to go to resolution, got it reduced, still got points, but I only had to pay the fine.
(obviously got help from here)
And as most folks will tell you, some firms will only do the same thing that you can do anyway
so for example, you STILL have to pay the fine anyway ...

Re: Made an improper right turn, but got a red light ticket
cool,
I have heard of it done, but in the UK, and usually by a red light camera,
cars move out of the way or into a junction to let a emerg veh through and gets snapped
but, txs for the feedback
cool
Suppose a, emergency responder, fire, para/police instrcutred you to jump a redlight to give them way
The only defense to an absolute liability ...
