He suggested i choose option 3 and plea not guilty, show up to court with my insurance and permits and will most likely dismiss the tickets.I want to know if thats true or not.

There's a reciprocal agreement in place. If the charge is deemed to be transferable between provinces, they'll treat it as if it happened here.fliguy wrote:I'm not that concerned about the fine, but I see 3 demerit points. Do these transfer to my Ontario license?.
You can read the agreement here and check if it applies to your charge.

Re: Charged with " Driver fail to surrender license "
Stanton summed it up pretty well.
- Just because you show you license afterwords doesn't make you any less guilty. The HTA requires you surrender you license immediately upon request. You were charged for not showing it when asked, not that you didn't have one at all. Whether you have your license or not after the fact is irrelevant, but it doesn ...

This could be one of those charges where you'd might consider some sort of representation.
With any offense dealing with alcohol, they aren't exactly eager to offer any kind of plea deal.
G2 driver with a BAC level above zero is what's considered a "serious" offense by most, if not all, insurance companies. A lot of people may get the idea that ...

Appeal? Yes? No? Waste of time and money?
That's entirely up to you.
That being said, appeals aren't do-overs. You'll have to provide a suitable argument during your appeal. The fact you were overwhelmed the first time around isn't going to get you another trial.

If you get a trial date, they'll do the same early resolution routine right before the trial.
You can request disclosure and make a case based on the officers notes. If there's no case to be made, see what they offer you on your trial date and go from there.

Stanton summed it up pretty well. If you want to schedule a resolution meeting and see if they are willing to reduce the fine, you can try that. There's very little you can do in order to fight this ticket. You're better off trying to get them to lower the ticket and just paying the rest off. Re: Texting while driving in drive through
Short answer is no. Long answer is some roads within, lets say a large shopping area/mall, may have arrangements to be classified as a highway. Not that a drive thru line would have that type of classification, but if you're navigating through this type of area, be careful while you use the roads within.

If your car has been labelled unfit, you'll need to have it inspected and repaired so it is considered safe for the roads (safety certification). You'll need to replace your windshield, tires, and anything else deemed unfit in order to pass. You can't get your plates without passing, so start with the basics.

They are not hiding evidence.jsherk wrote: If your daughter did stop, and the video shows it, then the prosecution will not want to use it as evidence and may not want to produce it.
