Re: 4 lane road, school bus on opposite lane has stop sign o
People should avoid the ticket combat template. In my opinion, it's terrible. It makes a lot of silly requests. You'd be better off taking the disclosure request form provided by the municipality, using that as a template, and throwing in 2 or 3 requests. If not, just use the standard provided form and be done with it.

Re: Any advice?
I took a quick look through canlli to see if there was anything interesting to add to this topic.
There's this judgment discussing the same charge where the driver had faded plates. The JP bounces through the section and its subsections to see if there's anything that specifically deals with faded/old plates and whether or not the correct charge ...

Re: Any advice?
There's nothing in the traffic act that I can think of that discusses peeling plates or plates in disrepair specifically. The only other thing talks about intentionally altering a plate. So i guess it's up to interpretation.

Re: Any advice?
A defected batch doesn't cancel out your responsibility for clear plates, it just means they'll replace them at their own cost.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if they worked something out with you. Bring whatever you have showing you took care of the issues right away and they might cut you some slack. Maybe they drop one issue for the ...

Re: Failure to Stop for Emergency Vehicle
Only guilty because he pleaded guilty. Otherwise innocent until proven guilty. So always plead not guilty and make them prove it.
They're not exactly going to have a tough time proving the driver had no valid sticker, and couldn't provide insurance or permit upon request.
I think 8 seconds is not an unreasonable time to give somebody to pull ...

Re: When can a child sit in the front seat?
I just like one clarification, does section 3 mean that if the kid is over 145 cm tall and over 36 Kg, he/she can ride in the front seat, even if the air bag can not be disabled? Am I understanding this correctly?
You almost got it right.

Re: When can a child sit in the front seat?
Not necessarily true. You can't have a booster seat child in the front where there is an airbag unless your vehicle allows for them to be disabled. Some cars will disable them automatically depending the weight on the seat. The same does not apply to a car seat.

Re: Parked in a designated fire route, but not a real fire r
Fire routes aren't put up on a whim. It's not something the property owner does alone on their own accord. It's a requirement put forth by the municipality to the owner of the property. If they are required, they have to fall into certain specs set out by the municipality and then approved by the head of fire and safety (i'm not positive of the ...

Re: Pedestrian Intent
The driver is responsible at all times for that pedestrian as long as they are crossing in a legal manner. So you kind of just have to do your best to gauge the situation and make sure you can make the right safely.
In your particular situation, I wouldn't feel too bad. It sounds like the pedestrian knew exactly what they were doing and they ...

Re: First ticket, 70 km in 50 zone - need advice!
When would you say is the right time to "pull the plug"?
If you show up to your trial, they're ready to proceed, and you've got some flimsy defense. If you were a fully licensed G driver, it's a different story. The difference would be 1 demerit point and couple extra bucks. Your insurance wouldn't care either way between 20 or 30km over. They ...

Re: First ticket, 70 km in 50 zone - need advice!
I'd agree that you're free to plead not guilty, request disclosure, and there's no consequences up until a trial takes place. You can always plead guilty on your trial date if all hope is lost. The problem is a lot of people don't know when to pull the plug and will go through with a trial so they can list off their cockamamie irrelevant excuses ...

Re: following too closely
You're probably not getting much of a response because it's very hard to read your post.
It took me awhile, but it seems you're trying to explain how you failed to move over for an officer performing duties on the shoulder of the highway, otherwise known as the "move over law".
What is the charge and section number listed on your ticket? 158? 159?
