Whether you are convicted with Stunt Driving or 49km over, you will ultimately have to serve a mandatory 30 day suspension.
Under Novice Driver Escalating Sanctions, any conviction resulting in 4 or more demerit points is a 30 day suspension for the first occurrence. Exceeding the speed limit by 30 to 49 km/hour will result in 4 points.

Re: OPP clocked two speeds at the same time moving radar.
It's not exactly picking up two speeds at the same time. Moving radar can be set so it's just constantly picking up speeds. Once one car passes, it'll just give you the speed on the next car and so on. So if two vehicles are following each other, it would be possible to pick up both once the lead vehicle moves forward enough.

Keep in mind that if you do find it, there is likely a specific manual for Canada only.

The ideal scenario would be that they offer you a deal of 49km over.
If they do, i'd highly suggest you take it and run.
Insurance providers lump all offenses into three different brackets. Those are minor, major, and serious.
Insurance will treat any speeding ticket between 1-49 the same. It would fall into the minor offense bracket. Rolling ...

Can anyone please tell me do we have to pay the fine in case of such emergencies?
I don't think what you've described would be a valid defense for necessity.
Some issues against you would be that your mother was not in the vehicle and there were other alternatives, such as calling 911 and having her transported by ambulance.
Glad to hear ...

The consensus would be that you'd probably want to consider a paralegal anytime a charge carries the possibility of jail time, which this does.
You're not going to jail, by the way. With a first offense at 64km over, it's not something they'd even consider.

Re: Tickets Falling off from record, will i get cheaper insurance?
If you're shopping for a new policy and requesting quotes, you might be asked to disclose certain information that extends past 3 years or give certain information that paints a clearer picture of your history (e.g. Have you been booted from a policy). It doesn't mean you'll be issued a surcharge for those older convictions, just that you'd have to ...

Re: Tickets Falling off from record, will i get cheaper insurance?
Insurance providers will generally use the last 3 years for the purpose of calculating rates. However, they will always remain on your record.
For example, a new provider might ask you for your history beyond 3 years. It could be something like 5 years for non criminal and 10 for criminal. In that case, you'd have to disclose that information ...

You're overthinking the idea of pacing.
The officer maintains an equal distance between vehicles and looks down at the speedometer.
Keep in mind speeding is what they call an absolute liability offense. That means during a trial they will only consider whether you were doing the speed limit or not.

The City of Toronto announced project VisionZero 2.0 last summer. It's a substantial list of streets that were set to drop their current limits by 10km as soon as someone was able to put up the new signs.
Lawrence Avenue East from Railside Road to Morningside Avenue was scheduled to be reduced from 60 to 50.

The officer was correct in that they don't have to measure your tint. There aren't tint percentage guidelines in Ontario for what i'm assuming are your driver left and right windows.
There are two ways to look at it.
One, it's up to the officers discretion.
Two, the Highway Traffic Act doesn't exactly say that any tint is legal on driver side ...

Re: OEM or AfterMarket???
It depends on the part.
Car manufacturers don't make every piece on a vehicle. You might own a Nissan and Hitachi makes all the electronics like coils and all the sensors. This becomes interesting when people order parts. They pass on the Hitachi for the OEM at 3x the price. Instead of $50, you're now paying and extra $150 for a cardboard Nissan ...

The 7 day suspension is what they call an administrative suspension. No, you haven't been convicted of anything. Since driving is not considered a right, these admin suspensions are legal and considered the norm.

Again, due to COVID-19 there are not many cars on the road and the flow of traffic has increased. For my safety and the safety of other drivers I felt it was necessary to maintain my speed with the flow of traffic. [/size]

My insurance will literally be destroyed by this ticket because of the demerit points. Is there anyway to get the ticket dismissed? What are my options?
Your options are listed on your ticket.
If you're looking for a reduced charge, that will likely be made available to you. Best case would probably be 29km over.
