Re: Is the registered owner on the hook for impound?

Not fact but, with the signed ownership the car is no longer your relatives. This was a trade for services. The other person know of this, however without a lot of paperwork it's hard to prove. The "other" guy did not register it under his name so that leaves your relative to explain the situation to all involved. He may have to get a copy of the ...

The appeal it's self usually has to do with the trial.....and to launch a full appeal you need the transcripts. You don't need the transcripts to file the appeal but you will need them later.

If the cop shows up and sees that I'm pleading guilty in an attempt to lower the fine and the charge, could he try to influence the prosecutor otherwise?

In fact, could prosecutor increase charge and fine because of such notes?
Officers have been known to "suggest" a sentence or offer their opinion of the accused.

You could get a defective ticket, but I doubt it. However, it is your paint job....

For example, the copy may have written in notes that I was following too closely another car before not obeying stop sign.

Am I at risk at getting a second conviction if prosecutors sees this?
Anyone?
Officers lay charges in the HTA, not the crown.

This is the best avenue of defence. If they have caused a delay of 15 months, then it should be accepted and the proceedings should be stayed.

Not to get into my case any further but I'll literally only had a beer or two over a period of 4 hours. I know I was fine... I truly believe that that apple fritter at tim hortons actually might have gave a false positive. Anyhow, I appreciate your input on the licence screw up.

Thanks.

Re: The MPH Bee III radar gun's POP mode

Thanks! That was what I was thinking.. I have a right to atleast see these documents, even if it's at the courthouse.

However when my court date comes, I'll make my argument that the crown has not notified me or given any notice regarding these documents which I requested in my disclosure letter (inadequate disclosure). Shall I print out copies ...

Re: OPP Ticketed Wrong Car

Any advice so I can challenge the officer's testimony that I was the ONLY car on the road? Time of ticket 14:11, mid June. What day of the week??? If you get your hands on a Radar manual it should mention in there that large targets are easier to get a reading on then smaller ones. However, if you have representation then it would be better to let ...

Re: How important is the location of the offence

If the offense (failure to wear seatbelt) occurred 1km away from where the ticket says it did. Is that relevant ?

The officer observed me without my seatbelt at an intersection, I then put it on and he followed me to my house (1km away) and wrote the ticket with the offense occurring on my street.
