Re: Stunt Reduced to 15 Over

I'd agree with argyll. The more people who see the charge when it's processed, the more likely they may question the 15 over and withdraw the original ticket.

Re: Careless Charge Dismissed but then later is Repened +Sum

The prosecutor didn't "dismiss" the charge, they simply withdrew it, probably because it had the omission. They just re-layed the charge by issuing a Summons. As long as the summons was issued within 6 months of the infraction, it's valid and you will have to appear in court again.

Re: Ticketed in a slow trafic

Not paying a provincial offence notice doesn't prohibit you from renewing your validation sticker. Only outstanding parking tickets will.
Outstanding provincial offence notices will result in a licence suspension. You might want to contact the courts and dig a little bit to make sure you haven't been convicted.

Re: can I be held responsible - not driving

Sign it over, remove the plates and go right to Service Ontario and advise them the the vehicle has been sold as unfit. Now the onus is on them to register the car in their name and have insurance on it.

Re: expired plate sticker ticket, but my vehicle is parked

Without further details, I don't think we can help.
What kind of ticket did you get?
Was it placed on the vehicle or served to you?
What was the offence listed on the ticket?

Re: Hire paralegal or no?

If by "wiped" you mean they just withdraw the charge that would be very rare under any circumstance. Chances are they will try to plea bargain down to one of those offences that you mentioned. Depending on the evidence, your paralegal will either do this or take it to trial if they are confident that they can win.

Re: incorrect birthday on ticket, and given name's second wo

These are not fatal errors on a ticket and will be amended if you go to a trial.

Think about fatal flaws this way, if it's something that a JP is looking at and they have no way of knowing what it should be, its not fatal.

Re: Hire paralegal or no?

I'd agree with Sonic, a Careless Driving charge isn't what you want to experiment with in court afteer just doing some research on the internet. A conviction could have serious imact on your insurance rates for years to come.

Just remember that being charged/convicted is a separate issue from being at fault for the colision. Your insurance company ...

Re: RIDE program, your rights, weigh in

In reply to a few of Sonics comments,
The police do not have access to any database that will tell them if a vehicle or driver are insured. The reason you may see some drivers charged with failing to have a valid insurance card is that this offence can be laid against the driver of the motor vehicle.

Re: 82km in 60, plate # incorrect, officer on private proper

The officer being on private property has no bearing on the validity of the ticket.
An incorrect licence plate number is not a fatal flaw on the ticket. Even a JP reviewing it wouldn't have any way of knowing that it's not s correct plate number.

Re: Fighting Ticket: Early Resolution Meeting

Option 2 in some jurisdictions is an early resolution meeting and they do not have the "guilty with and explanation option"

This was changed several years ago in some jurisdictions.

You don't have to pay the full renewal fee again, just the replacement cost which is $7 I think.

Re: 3 Day Suspension

Of note, the Alco Sensor FST is calibrated to give police an actual reading up to .05 for use with the novice drivers. A caution will register from .05 all the way up to .1. A fail is anything from .1 and over giving and advantage to the motorist in most cases.

If a caution/warn is registered, the driver also has the right to a second analysis ...
