Payment Plan Help....

by: Mechanicjoe on

I need some help or information. I owe a lot in unpaid fines, and really want to pay them off asap. I called my local city hall this morning about my fines, and asked if I could get on some kind of payment plan. She told me that since I am under suspension I won't be able too, I can't afford to pay the whole amount up front its a lot of money. So my question how do I apply or even get on a payment plan? Is a hiring a lawyer necessary for this?

A lawyer is not needed.

You need copies of everything owed.

After you have that you go to your local court and ask to speak to the JP.

You bring all outstanding fine info etc.

with you.

When you talk to the JP have a payment plan in mind that you can easy follow.

It is good to have an up front amount on you that you can start with.

Follow up with whatever you agree too.

Cheers

Thanks for the info... What do you mean by everything owed? I know the exact amount I owe in fines. What paperwork is required for this?

I do have an up front amount I can pay for this, and also figured out a payment plan that I can afford. Here is the kicker though, I know I have to start back from my G1's and wait to get my G2's, so its not like I can drive right away. I want to resolve this asap... Since i am under suspension with the courts in fact reinstate my license or make me pay the full amount before?

I will try again. Read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just attend a court office and ask them if you owe any money.

Once they produce the paper ask to talk to JP

Now you have the paperwork that the JP needs

Once you get to the JP you make a deal.

Again if you make a deal stick to it .
