Typical Insurance Cost?

Unread post by qmqmqm »

Just wondering how much does an average annual auto insurance cost, if the driver is 25 years old, with good driving record, and uses the car to do groceries and run errands sometimes (but does not drive to work every day)?

Is it like around $1000, or $5000, etc?

Thanks a lot.

Also depends on where you are in the province...

Thanks Simon and Radar!

So what's the best way to get an estimate? Doing one of the questionaires on an insurance company's website?

Thanks a lot.

Generally you can go on-line. It's the fastest and easiest way. Phone quotes can be a total Gong Show, although sometimes if there are highly specific circumstances, it's better to use the phone. (Example: You are moving from out of Canada and the insurance company wants to classify you as a "new" driver.)
