You can't drive based on signage that may or may not be visible to drivers going the opposite direction. When turning left you can't assume the signs are there or were seen. For all you know the sign could have been snow covered, recently changed or eaten by gremlins. Friend you are grasping on this line of questions, you ...

The only thing you can do really is request a trial and when you get a trial date ask for disclosure and see what the evidence against you is. Post your disclosure here if you want our thoughts on the matter. If the evidence is strong you might want to plea to a lesser charge at your court date if it is within a reasonable time frame (has to total ...

Re: Moving to USA, Ontario DL suspended, Can get US Licence?
I would think that you should be able to get a US licence if you apply for one at a learners level. I don't think you would be able to do a licence swap with your Ontario licence considering that you wont have a valid licence to exchange. Even if you have a licence from another jurisdiction you will never be allowed to drive here if you leave your ...

To be clear they are issued to the name on the plate portion of the vehicle ownership. If it says Joe Smith then he gets the ticket if it says ABC Inc. then it gets the ticket. If Joe Smith goes to the Ministry to get plates for ABC Inc.'s truck they will want him to show his license to identify himself so they have a record of who they gave the ...

Re: It is hopeless to fight a ticket at Ontario Traffic cour
The JP is required to be fair and impartial. If you feel so strongly that he wasn't and you can prove it in the transcripts then I would file an appeal based on that. Appeals are heard by senior JPs who are more knowledgeable on such matters. Even if the system is corrupt for money as you claim you take comfort in the fact that your trial process ...

The reason you lost is simply because the testimony of the officer was more credible than any evidence you presented. If your testimony was as credible as the officers then by law you would have been found not guilty.
Most of the time at trial you will not win, and the reason likely has something to do with the fact that you did it or were ill ...

Re: Red Light camera Company Car
To my knowledge red light cameras will trip when the speed sensor embedded in the road detect you travelling at a speed where you will be unable to stop in time for the light at the stop marker. If you were skidding at a low speed it might not trip the camera.

Re: T-boned a limo - optical illusion
To be honest, not too many people are going to read the thesis you wrote. I believe that you believe what you are saying, but I think a complex and convoluted explanation will tend not to be accepted in court. If you can't explain what happened in two sentences you are going to lose the listeners attention. If the JP can't quickly comprehend the ...

I believe it does but I would talk to your broker to confirm, they may also find ways to save you a few dollars here and there.

I believe any claims are 6 years and HTA tickets are 3 years from the date of conviction. If your rates hold steady it would be about a $2000 premium increase per year for 3 years hit but if you factor in the lost discounts you would have gotten it could be significantly more.

Always happy to hear when someone gets what they deserve. They're not going to give you a discount. Best you can do is take a cheque for what they call the fair market cost of repair to the car not spend it.
