Anyone else not seeing responses? Why must subject lines be long?

For the past couple days I can no longer see responses, the site just shows me the original post in any thread. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also, why is there a minimum length for Subject lines?

Re: Help!! How can i be convicted of driving while suspended when i never knew i was suspended

Just to clarify, you are saying that you have never even been pulled over (in your life?) but your license has been suspended?

If that is truly the case, it sounds like a clerical error to me. These things do happen.

Others here will know the process better than I do, but I would suspect there must be some contact information in this letter, you ...

Re: An obscure parking signal in Great Toronto Area

B) Parking is probihited between 8:30am and 4:30pm while Monday to Friday in July and August are exempted.

I don't think anybody's claiming that the answer is B.

In fact, I don't think any of your options reflect the true (intended) meaning as bent said.

F) Parking is prohibited (between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday), except ...

Re: An obscure parking signal in Great Toronto Area

While I agree with bend's interpretation, as a computer programmer I can see how there are challenges with interpreting the logic based purely on reading the sign ;-)

There may be regulations which inform us on how to read the sign, of course.

To the rear shouldn't be a problem... your vehicle probably came from the factory with red flashing lights on the rear ;-)

OK, I won't tell you.

But I will tell you that your argument won't float in court.

My wife got a substantial reduction at the early resolution route by having a good sob story to tell.

Be repentant and explain your situation. If you get lucky you can get a reduction of the fine and time to pay. My wife got both for an unbeatable red-light-camera ticket, when in a similar circumstance.

Re: HTA 139(1) failing to yield from private drive

The onus is on the driver who is required to yield. Drivers who have the right of way should not have to alter their driving to accommodate those who do not.

While I don't disagree with that, it kind of makes it impossible for somebody whose driveway is very near an intersection to actually comply, no?

I just noticed this morning in my ...

More details required.... 136 (b) is a failure to stop offense.

I read it that you are already convicted and asking why they are making you take a road test, is that your question?

Not an expert, but it strikes me that if you couldn't see the vehicle because it was around a corner, it was not "so close as to constitute an immediate hazard". But I invite the experts to shoot me down!

Re: (5) Left Turn - Fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision. Help with trial.

Regarding the emergency service bill, this is normal in some municipalities and you can pass it on to the insurance company or pay it yourself. The bill is for attending the incident in general, not specific to you, but since you were the "at fault" party you get the bill.

Regarding disclosure, you should check with the courthouse. The onus may be ...
