Re: Ridiculous Insecure Load Ticket

1. Review your ticket for any mistakes. There is an exellent guideline for quashing tickets based on "fatal mistakes" made by one of our frequent poster, ticketcombat, here . You still have just under 2 weeks to send in your ticket with the "fighting" option, but you gotta do that by next Friday.
2. When you send in your ticket, also request ...

Re: passing emergency vehicle

What was the speed that you were travelling at when you have passed the cruiser? Make him lie on the witness stand to get a conviction. You can use the law itself to defend yourself, saying in court that you could not change lanes due to that Golf, and the cop will either lie that you haven't slowed down, or he'll drop the ticket.

Getting legal ...

So I say don't ban fast food. Tax it to death!

Then use that tax to build more recreational facilities (pools, gyms, arenas, courts etc..) to get the obese people away from computers ( doh!! ), gaming and doing some exercise of something.

Yup. We need way more soccer fields! In Guelph, close to where I live, they are building a new ...

First off, send in your ticket with the 3-rd option checked off as well as a request for disclosure. Mail them using registered post (it'll be a little bit more, around $5, but you have the proof that you have sent the request for disclosure, and it makes sure that the court will receive your ticket). See the officer's notes as to what he wrote ...

5. Another problem with 100 is you can't travel at this speed. Just try this anywhere around Toronto on a 400 series highway you can't do it. You'll get honked at, tailgated, passed, cut off. Why must you be forced to break the law to drive?

Because if you set higher speed limits there will always be a few inconsiderate A-holes who will break ...

Re: "Reduced" speeding ticket

A conviction is a conviction, so see about your insurance rates. He already dropped it 18 km/hr, 10 over the limit lands you a very small fine and no points. I'd suggest not fighting it. If the cop shows up for court, he gets paid 6 hours, and that comes outta taxpayers pockets (that is over $300 I think). It'll be hard to make a deal with a ...

Why doesn't Julian Fantino make a new law the OPP could enforce. This must be the solution (sarcasm)

If you are causing traffic backups then they should tow your car on the spot. Then they should also take your order from the drive through and give it to charity.

They should come up with a new Law called Street Parking or something like that. I ...

The offence notice shows 13(2) and the fine amount is $110. Unfortunately I had already clean my plates so I wont have any prove. By "insurance implications are nil", you mean only if I fight the ticket or not fight the ticket?

Normally if you win the fight, your ticket is null and void, so no insurance implications whatever the ticket you ...

Look up news reports from the Hamilton Spectator, see how many accidents there are. If there are a lot we know that you are not the only one who got confused on that intersection.

The cop probably wants to close off the accident report, and charging someone with "Follow too closely" nicely sets all papers in order.
However, based on what you have told us you should have been charged with 154.(1)(a) (below), which carries 3 demerit point penalty, and would still set officer's papers straight...

That wouldn't hurt you pleading your case in any case. I actually haven't even gone on that exit more than a half dozen times myself, as I lived up on the mountain, so I'd usually take the 403 all the way up to Linc. or Stone Church, those are much nicer/safer exits, but get you nowhere near downtown...
