Re: OVER 49km/h in DVP

The ticket for no sticker can be dropped as soon as you show the proof of sticker purchase. However compounding it with other tickets makes things more complicated.
It looks to me the cop did not have a clock on you, he knew you were speedy but he had no scientific evidence.
So fight them, get disclosure and take it to court, he won't show up.
If ...

Re: how to request a trial date?

It looks like the collision involved 3 parties (as i understand from your thread), all parties and the cop have to be at the trial or case is dismissed. Your chance of the case being dropped is great.
For a rearend collision it is clear who are at fault, all 3 parties are happy with decision made by insurance (ie cars are fixed , deductible is ...

Re: busted brake line get me out of this?

Someone had similar case and he said, on the trial date, you show up in court, the cop show up in court and the lady you rearended doesnot showup, case is dismissed.
I think it's a very good chance that the lady won't show since you admitted your fault and she got her car fixed without deductible.
In normal traffic ticket fight case, i would ...

Re: speeding Ticket recieved at home

sound like a toronto police officer laid charge outside of his jurisdiction. Is it possible for a on-duty toronto police officer to lay charge in mississauga if he happens to be in Mississauga for whatever reason?

Re: Disabey Sign - Act 182(2)

i had 2 tickets like that in the past couple years, one was against the by-law, the other was against HTA. i filled out the forms to contest the charges but did not ask for disclosure or anything like that.
At the court dates, they dropped the charges although cops were there.
To today i still can't figure out why they dropped the charges. It seems ...

Re: HTA 136(1)a - stop wrong place

I went to court for the same charge "fail to stop at stop sign". I requested disclosure. No disclosure sent.
At first trial, cop showed me his note outside of court room advised me to take the plea bargain, but the crown asked for delay the trial due to lack of time.
I requested disclosure again. At 2nd trial, no disclosure, cop didnot show, charge ...

Re: speeding ticket

Thanks ticketcombat, i found example of disclosure on your site.
I am researching the 11b process as it defintely becomes handy in the future.
Do-it-yourself is quite a bit of work and bit intimidated too in the court room but learning a lot in the process.
I'll take my chance, worst case i loose i'll pay the fine(24 over)+3points, but it's not the ...

Re: speeding ticket

I checked out your site, ticketcombat. thanks for all the work.
I could not find any link or any example you mentioned on your site under offence menu
"On the left hand side of this page under the Offence menu are links to specific charges and suggestions as to what to request in disclosure."

Re: fight stop sign

The HTA is different than the Criminal Code in that under the HTA, the Crown can accept your offer to change the offense to an unrelated offense. The JP doesn't have to accept this "deal", but he likely will if it's clear that both you AND the prosecutor are in agreement.

I'd propose a change to Improper Muffler or some other non-moving violation ...

Re: fight stop sign

Most likely this type of ticket was issued because you didn't come to a COMPLETE stop at the stop sign. All the officer really has to do is say he witnessed the act. Good luck fighting this in court. Just try a plea bargain IMO.
It doesn't matter if you stopped on the line or not, or where the officer was sitting. All he has to see is if you ...

a picture to show that he could not see the stop line from where he was sitting?

Can you return to the exact precise point with the same make and model cruiser and sit in the driver's seat at the same height, same height as the officer and view the location? There are so many variables in taking a picture from where you think the officer was and ...

fight stop sign

I got ticket for failing to stop at stop sign in Toronto. i heard that the police officer must see the stop line, if there is one, from where he was sitting. That is exactly my case, Is it a strong case? If so do i need a picture to show that there is a stop line and a picture to show that he could not see the stop line from where he was sitting ...
