To my understanding of Dangerous Driving, speed alone is not enough, there has to be other factors involved, but I could be wrong

Re: 32 over reduced to 15 over

The only one I could find is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQdXmjD7Xks

that's a us version as I understand different from the one I've seen but same idea.

So from what I understand the officer takes an estimate then flips the radar on to see the reading. If thte radar is in instant on would it lock the speed? I also wonder if all these ...

Some great Reply's to the article link'd by that photo, re: "street racing map"

One of my favorites:
How stupid do the police and government think we are? This clearly has nothing to do with catching racers. How about a map showing where the increased revenue from this bogus law has gone!

Pretty gullible to believe each newspaper with the ...

Double Talk??

So many avid drivers on here have a huge beef for "follow too close", "unsafe lane changes" and "inexperienced drivers (G1, G2)".

Yet those same people offer advice to these drivers to get off their tickets when they finally get caught.....that just doesn't make sense!

Re: how to best handle multiple minor tickets

welcome "cawilso1" None of the offences are moving so demerit points will not be assigned. However, any conviction of any will go on your record.

Case #1. A letter appeared on the Approved Screening Device, which was an "A" = Warn. That is a 12hr suspension and nothing goes on the driving record for that. Here is the wordings/sections of acts for ...

Re: New OPP Vehicles?

Main thing to consider is comfort for the officer. We spend a vast majority of 12hrs inside a vehicle, once in awhile due to calls for service it could be even longer. It has to be have enough room for officers of all heights, plus have the room to handle the equipment.

- Crown Vic is the choice, but we have been told that production ends in 2011 ...

Re: Following to close: no accident

Our court system is brutal......they allow appeals for everything and anything
Even for a wrongful ticket...

Not about a wrongful ticket issue at all.

Once a person makes the decision with the option box it should be done.
Once a person does not show for court it should be done.
If the PON is NOT received within 15 days to the court it ...

Re: So what...it's only 5km/hr more

If the reaction time is approx 0.1 s, in that time the driver at 113 will travel exactly 139 mm (5.5 in) ahead of the 108 guy. If you take the reaction time to be 0.2 seconds, that's 278 mm (11 in)... When you are taking 50 m to stop, that difference in negligible, I also did round well more up when calculatin for 113 guy as opposed to 108 dude ...

Re: So what...it's only 5km/hr more

Racer - think I understand the bottom line there....but what does not appear answered in that equation (please correct me if I am wrong) is the following:

But I guess I'm using the video as an example.....
if driver a = 108km and the other driver b = 113km/hr......and the transport blocks their path......driver b is obviously farther down the road ...
