Re: Construction zone - no speed limit posted

witnesses in car's "generally" don't matter you would need an independent one
and LEO's are NOT supposed to tell you ever not to go to court, it is your absolute right, to contest anything in court.
wether she cut you a break or not, she can not tell you this. If there is a fatal flaw somewhere, or a screwup in court for example you could get lucky ...

Re: Speeding 139 on 100 on hwy400

DUDE this exact thing happened to me.

Now in my case, YES i was speeding, actually I was lane changing as I was late for work.
the LEO told me I was doing 149, now then (years ago) my 12yr POS Neon weaving in and out of traffic was no-where NEAR that,
when he got behind my and I saw him, my speed was a little over 120.

I didnt admit to speeding ...

Re: Please help!!!!!!!

All the advise is good,

I'm just adding that you DID NOT see a big yellow object ? and a school bus to boot.
What was the kind of conditions where you driving in? IN thick fog and snow I've never failed to see a school bus ever.
If the conditions where that bad, it's not even worth driving in it.
Was it stopped, no lights, where kids coming on or ...

dashcam legal question

Hi guy's

I just had my dashcam fitted. Thinkware F50, nice jobbie

But for some reason, the time stamp is 10 minutes out, so when it says 10:10am it is actually 10:00am
Now I am looking into it but could this present a problem if I had to show a clip in court,

Could a prosecutor or judge throw it out stating the time was wrong, not sure how they ...

Re: 106 in an 80 while passing

just to reiterate what jsherk has said,
I've seen a few threads on this, if you "speed" to overtake your still speeding.

a trick to spotting unmarked

* They are almost always GM's
* Chargers
* Any colour
* on the back they have 3 (I think they are antennas) 1 in the middle which is about 4" and looks like a mobile aerial 2 either side, small ...

Re: driving unlicensed (car accident)

personally,
all important cards, docs, which need renewing, I have on a sheet of paper near my calendar, when they are due, when they are expiring
I know "exactly" when to get them and or chase,
if a piece of ID is important enough to stop you getting, medical treatment , driving legally, then it's important enough for you to make sure you have it ...

Re: Speeding ticket with fatal error?

To me, it should be a fatal error. It should be obvious it's HTA (which is often abbreviated exactly like that on tickets), but a ticket must specify in sufficient detail the offence that was (alleged to have been) committed. For people who are familiar with the system, that's easy. But for someone who may be unfamiliar with the system or Ontario ...

don't believe that is a fatal, but someone with a bit more experience will be along to confirm or deny
but fingers crossed, good luck,
it does mention section 28...

that is also true,
mind you I'm using the cam for traffic incidents mainly, but good points

Again in my opinion it is just best to not mention it.

Re: Handicap Parking Permit Question

anytime you get a ticket at that time of the night is a few reasons

1 (most likely) a complaint was rung in
2 they do roving patrols,
3 (if a complaint has been made) usually they book everyone on the street

I used to do a late night shift, a couple of times I've parked up at 2am in the morning and get a ticket (apparently) left at 4am
