Re: U-turn prohibited

that is a good question... I got done for a no-u-turn years ago,
cop pointed out the sign and I had a problem seeing it.
so if on a road there is a no u-turn how far down that road would you need to go, b4 you can u-turn
I had gone down a fair way and it was safe where I was doing the u-turn
and BTW it was a trap because the where parked in an ...

Re: 2 Tickets Same Time, Different Courthouses

your supposed to check your lights (and other things) before every trip.
you can't rely on the kindness of strangers, in fact I won't even tell people this anymore due to the nasty comments I get back
so I'll let the LEO's deal with that.

at the end of the day (and we've all been there) it's the drivers responsibility to make sure the car is as is ...

Re: CARRY PASSENGERS IN BACK OF A OPEN PICK UP TRUCK

this is like really stupid, not aiming the comment at anyone.

Listen, you put a few people in an open box, with NO seats and no restraining devices.
What do you think is going to happen to them, if you swerve, get hit, or roll over.

Even in an enclosed car with belts you can get seriously injured, so how much more so, without that?

really ...

Re: Need help with a traffic ticket

You've had 2 prior speeding tickets in 2.5 years, your basically a serial speeder/offender.

Get a brief, you've done this before, your not new to this.

Hi all, I'm totally new here and I need some help.

-I have two other convictions (speeding) back in 2014.

Where can I get some knowledge on basic terminology for the court and/or what things ...

Re: Need help with a traffic ticket

In this case, I honestly beleive the best case scenario is that you show up for court and the prosecutor tells you they are dropping the charge because the officer did not show up.
Even if you lose, there is still lots to learn about how the system works by fighting it.

If recent post's/replies mean anything, officers always show up, but could ...

I'm assuming, if a driver rolled or backed into you same thing, unless you had dashcam evidence

Re: First ticket ever, 38 km/h over on the 401

really ?
wow, I thought a couple of posters have said not to admit/answer any question because of that reason,
I mean don't be a dick, but don't say something like, "but I was only speeding a little bit I'm late for work" kinda thing

BTW; when I was stopped on the 401, the OPP said before he questioned me that he was recording the interview, he ...

Re: Rear End - Careless driving.

to add to that, last year I was side swiped on the 401,
when I reported it at the col. centre, I asked for the LEO's opinion, he said "I can't offer any officialy advice, but most of these cases go 50/50"

The guys on here said straight up other drivers fault,

my insurance........................ other drivers fault
I generally know where to ...

Re: Fail to surrender permit of a vehicle

15km's over is def a minor, usually anything under 49 is
(I got a 49km over and it was a minor)

I think "IF" it was only a speeding fine they would drop it to 10km's over which I believe is no points (but still a conviction)
as jsherk says not showing is a lot better than not having as far as the permit is concerned

I bet you that they are both minor, you can google minor tickets etc or similar for your insurance company,

IF they are both minor

I would rather not have the ...

Re: First ticket ever, 38 km/h over on the 401

I see one issue; should you take it to court.
You admitted to speeding..
" I explained it was the first time I had ever been pulled over, that my friends had made the responsible decision of getting a ride from someone instead of driving themselves, and that I rarely ever speed "

his notes may state this, you may also be asked the question, which ...
