Re: FAIL TO REMAIN
In a five hour period you had no reasonable opportunity to contact police even by telephone? You may say you had good intentions but it sounds suspicious. You are required by law to report a collision "forthwith", basically as soon as you can. The police likely suspect you were drinking and waited to sober up or were simply avoiding responsibility ...

Re: Help prepare for trial (Pics and Disclosure inside)
Some more details would be helpful. Did the officer who charged you actually observe the offence? Or was the second officer acting as a spotter and call it in to him? I can't help but feel you should have some more disclosure, especially if the two officers were working together. The notes seem quite brief and it's possible there would be further ...

Re: Tickets for operating viechel without insurance
Without knowing all the details, I wouldn't want to hazard a guess as to whether you should go to trial or not. You may want to consider at least having a consultation with a paralegal to review the case.

Re: 63 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone (reduced from 73 km/hr)
So is it worth selecting option 2 (on the back of the ticket) pleading guilty with lesser charge of some other driving violation instead of speeding (i.e. improper lane change)? Would this fly? oR should i just pay the fine.....walk away?

Re: Tickets for operating viechel without insurance
I would not just plead guilty to those offences. Consider representation or working out some type of plea deal with the Crown. Operating a motor vehicle with no insurance is a serious offence and carries a serious monetary penalty.

Re: Resulting demerit points will terminate schooling
Is there anyone else at your college you can speak to about this? It really doesn't sound right that you could be withheld from a course for what is a relatively minor traffic violation, especially considering you're already enrolled. It would be somewhat more understandable if they were turning away new applicants with convictions, but one ...

Re: Traffic ticket for expired plate sticker
As Simon said the fact that you didn't know isn't a defence. If you decide to fight the charge in Court, the Crown will produce a certificate from the MTO showing that on the date of the offence your plate was expired. Pretty hard to fight the charge.

Re: Speeding violation: Ticket says 82 km in an 80km. Fight
Yep. And a 2 over is much better then a 30 over. :)
So what are you asking? If you're determined you want to fight it, try getting a paralegal to represent you.
Regardless if the ticket is marked as reduced or not, the Crown will be aware of the fact when they get the officer's notes for a first appearance meeting. They're not simply going to ...

Re: Speeding violation: Ticket says 82 km in an 80km. Fight
Speeding is an absolute liability offence. What this means is that your explanation as to why you were speeding is irrelevant, you're still guilty of the offence by your own admission.

Thanks, the photos and further details help explain the situation a little better. Im guessing the other driver was trying to pass as you turned left?

Re: Rear-Ended and a TICKET?!
It would be helpful if you could provide some more details about the accident, such as the specific intersection and the direction of travel for both vehicles.
