Re: Visual estimation of speed from the side, inaccurate?

30KM/H through a controlled intersection would be grounds for dangerous driving, IMHO.

I'm not just using overblown prose here
English major/minor?

To the rest of us the "pros" are hockey players.

Re: Visual estimation of speed from the side, inaccurate?

In this case the speed means jack. You will have to prove that the officer's vision of your wheels was obscured by another car when you came to a full and complete stop.

Re: Too easy to get a licence?

I see this all the time. Driving schools from Brampton and Mississauga invade Orangeville anytime after 9:00 am and are here until at least 8:00. I guess it's easier to parallel park on our streets. :D

Same point though, my wife dreaded driving on the 401, 410 etc. She never learned to negotiate the "madness". She'll still avoid it if she can ...

Re: red light camera offence

Hello to all on this site. I have just received an offence notice for a red light camera offence & have been researching my options to paying this exorbidant money grab of $325. I have found the discussion on this site helpful, but am wondering, do I have to plead not guilty in order to have the fine amount reduced by the prosecutor? or can I ...

Re: Green Foglights, Need Advice

Go back to the court house and ask for "First Attendance". If they do it there you can meet with just the crown and discuss.

Re: Green Foglights, Need Advice

Go to the courthouse early, an hour should do. The crown should be available before the scheduled time and you can chat then. Tell them what you have done, pictures would help and see what they'll do.

Net sum:

2. Calibration record of laser unit.

Won't get. Tests of calibration are done before stop and after stop.

Disclosure of officers notes. What about the alignment check?

1. The importance of disclosure of Officer's training record and the Calibration Record of Radar Unit:
2. The importance of disclosure of Radar manual and ...

Re: Green Foglights, Need Advice

and for the record I never knew green lights were illegal.
Ignorance is not a defence.

Does anyone have any advice for me about this incident? Thanks.
Read some of the posts here, you may get the charges dismissed. Seeing as it wasn't your actual headlights that were the problem the crown may be willing to negotiate.

Those would be changes made as of that copy. Unchanged is left as normal text, no background shading.

Re: What's The Solution?

- When turning onto a road, do not move when it is clear, instead wait until traffic approaches, then pull out in front of them

HWY 10......oh the humanity

- Drive through stop signs without slowing down, but stop at intersections without stop signs

Or stop at green lights

- The Snow Car, where the car is covered with snow except the part ...

given the nature of 172 there is nothing here to stop a rogue officer writing nonsense tickets in malice,
Already happened....OPP Mississauga, google it.

The date to be proclaimed......legal jargon for: date to be instated. The hands free bill was worded the same.

As for your edit, you cannot create a law to try someone. If you manage to do something that is not defined the gov't can't create a law to smack you with. If they create it then you break it, then to court you can go...
